CSR -hard to book due renovations??

So we booked a last minute trip over New Years and I was lucky enough to get POFQ as (I thought) we wanted. DH - who dosen't really get involved in planning mentioned he really liked CSR when we stayed their last and coud we switch. Well no - we can't evidently

I can get any of the other moderates for my dates except CSR!! So what I am wondering is if portions of CSR are closed for the renovations and if so will the open up between now and late December one by one??

I am going t continue to try online and occasionally via phone just in case but thought there were so many experts here someone may know

I don't think it is that much because of renovations (I am sure it affects it slightly) because CSR is a smaller mod. hotel and a popular one at that

I know CBR and POR are quite large but I thought POFQ was smaller then CSR?

POFQ is the smallest of the mods. The CBR is the largest, and the POR and CSR are also large.

It could be due to popularity and the new RIX lounge which is offering a New Years dinner package. I think that would be a cool place to celebrate New Years Eve! Still, CSR has almost 2000 rooms, so it is likely that someone will cancel, switch or change their mind and something will open upfor you. I know its a pain to keep checking back, but it seems like your best option to get what you want. Good luck!

They are only closing one building at a time to do the renovations.

Also, if there is a convention going on at that time, they will set aside a block of rooms for the attendees. Once the deadline has passed for registrants, rooms could become available to the general public.

I don't think it is because of the renovations but because it is a Convention Resort. This resort fills up due to conventions. I would keep checking though. We once wanted to stay there and couldn't because it was booked until the last minute we were able to change. Good luck!
