Shopping Pass at Universal Studios?

Does anyone know if Universal Studios offers a one hour shopping pass (where you go into the park to buy something, have an hour or they will charge your credit card a full day admission)? We're not going to be able to go to the park like we normally do, but I really wanted to get DH some Egyptian stuff at The Mummy gift shop. Is there another way to order stuff from the store (like an 800 number)?

There's a universal store in CityWalk that has everything they offer at both themeparks.

Do you know if they have the Egyptian figurines in there? That would be great if they have the stuff! The last time we were there (in December) they didn't have any of that stuff in there. Hmm...I hope that's changed!!

I was just in there Saturday and they didn't have any Mummy stuff in there that I saw.

I used a shopping pass once when I was there on a business trip, they sell you a ticket then return your money or don't charge your credit card if you are out within an hour. Don't know if they still do it today.

The best thing to do to avoid paying anything is to wait until after 6pm (8pm on HHN nights) since parking is free. You could have a nice dinner at one of the restaurants and then do some shopping.

The Universal store in CityWalk does NOT have everything they sell in the parks. In fact, it is very limited to generic Universal items. To get specialty items, you will have to enter the parks. Wish I knew about the 1 hour thing but good luck!

They do offer a shopping pass but you must be there at least 2 hours before park closing to get one. You go to guest services window and they will take an imprint of a credit card. On the imprint will be the price of a one day/one park ticket. They give you a ticket to enter and you must be back within one hour. If you are back within an hour, you will not be charged for the ticket. If you are not back within the hour, your CC will be charged for a one day ticket.

They will not issue a shopping pass if it is less than 2 hours before the park closes though.

Thats something I did not know!Thanks phamton..:thumbsup2

I also didn't have to pay for parking but I forget if I went through the main parking entrance or parked at the taxi dropoff. Either way I told the attendant I just wanted to run in and buy something and got waived through.

Thanks phamton. I actually just got back and was able to get the shopping pass. It worked great and I was able to get exactly what I wanted! :thumbsup2
