I got a free dining pin and I don't know what to do with it!

Hi,
I was wondering if anybody could tell me if they've ever used a free dining PIN code. I got one in my email today. I know we probably can't afford it anyway but I was wondering if anybody had done the math on how a pin code affects the overall price.

Any help or comments appreciated.

Melissa

I got one for 20% or 30% (can't remember exactly) for my room. With the free dining, you book your room at rack prices for the time you would like to travel and then they add the free dining to your package. I am not sure which one they are offering the basic dining plan with 1 snack, 1 counter meal, 1 sit down or that new one which is 2 snacks and 2 counters per person. You might have to call to clarify that. One other thing, Disney doesn't allow double dipping on discounts, so you will pay full price for your room-even if a discount is being offered. But you can choose to take the room discount and not the free dining. You have to decide which is better for you.

Hope this helps:)

Yes, thank you for the prompt reply :goodvibes

The ad states that if you can get a room plus single park tickets at $63 per person per day based on a 2 adult, 1 junior (by the way, they don't have junior prices so how do they qualify a junior here?), and 1 child.)

So it sounds as though they are already quoting me package then they would add free dining to that package. Also, it says you have to stay from 9/28/08 - 10/11/08 but then later it says, "so book by 10/11/08" cause this deal will be "gobbled up" fast. So I can't tell if maybe the $63 a night price for room/tickets is only valid for a certain time period but the free dining might be extended to me if I wanted to pay "rack rates" for another date option.

Is this a common code? I've never even been to WDW... I thought these codes only went to return guests. :confused3 I'd so love to go... I let my dreams die as we are always too broke. We went to DL this summer though... so my DH keeps saying no.. no matter how good the deal sounds.

Oh, and.. the tickets from PDX to MCO are only $238 round trip right now. :scared1:

Too bad I think it's all in vain.

:sad2: :sad1:

Those codes are funny. My mom got one and she hadn't been in forever. My DH got one and he doesn't do any of the planning or booking??? Me-I do it all-I get nothing:confused3

Oh well. ;)

I am curious about the bottom line price....

Hope you get yours soon!

we got what sounds like a similar pin offer and I booked it yesterday, DH doent wanna return so soon as we were there in March so its DD6 -me, Mom and Dad(my parents,DDs Grandparents) we booked AS Movies for Nov with the deal and it was 2200.00 total, Thats for 3 adults one 6 yr old for 9 nights, 9 WDW non park hopping tickets and basic dining - Im thrilled, 550 a head -now we need flights and gratituity $ and were set! Whooooooooohoo!:yay:

Yeah!! :woohoo: I'm happy for you. :)

Question: You said you booked for Nov. ... the ad said $63 a night for travel between 9/28/08 and 10/11/08. Then later it said, "book before 10/11/08 for this deal!

I took that to mean: $63 a night was a room rate that was only for the date span listed in the email BUT if you book by 10/11/08 then you could still get free dining.

Also, you said "basic" dining. I haven't been following the WDW stuff (let those dreams die) but I heard that there are now two plans.. one is the TS, CS, snack and one is 2) CS and 1) snack.

Which is the basic?

In the ad it says, "enjoy character meals" etc... so I assumed it still was the TS plan. None of this matters to me :sad1: But as a ridiculous over-obsessor I'm just wondering what I'm missing out on.

Or better yet.. what YOU'LL be getting. That's the better way to look at it! :goodvibes

mornin, :rotfl:
we go often (ahem:lmao: ) so I only go if Im gettin a deal, I own my own business(two actually, so I can pick up and go whenevr thank heavens)
the basic dining plan is one table service=TS..........one counter service-CS and one snack per night u sleep, weve used and loved this plan. This is thw plan we got:yay:

the offer I got had dates nov 9 thru nov 22,which is where i booked:goodvibes, we were there last nov and loved the non sweaty week! I honestly wouldnt have booked if it were the cs plan, the chara table service is the deal breaker for me, my parents are 73 and for them to sit down and relax while watching thier ONLY granddaughter be enthralled with whatever chara happens by is just priceless, and we have had ZERO bad dining experiences (and we go ALOT) so for us this was the deal!!

Good morning and, in a minute, goodnight :goodvibes

Ohhh...so we got a different date schedule. Makes sense then. Thanks again for commenting and send me your TR link if you do such things... probably being a veteran you don't anymore? :confused3

I'm a DL veteran but this was my VERY first TR and I had a great time writing it! :rolleyes1

You guys made me go and check my inbox, but alas nothing:confused:
Well anyway, we couldn't go to late November, hubby is out of the country until then :goodvibes

OP if you get to go :thumbsup2 if not, there will always be another deal :woohoo:

Sorry your inbox was devoid of pin fun

I really needed to hear that last part. There will be another day (insert gone with the wind music)!

Thanks, Rae!

You Mel, I always miss the pin code.....just have to work extra hard to get the other deals :lmao:

What did you sign up for (if you can remember) to get you on the list :confused3

I didn't know there was a list! :lmao:

I have a disney.com account.. like everybody else.

Nothin else. To be honest.. I don't :worship: Disney as a company as much as I :worship: Disney park experiences. I'm in it for the nostalgia of having grown up in So Cal and loving me some Dis-Knee-Land! The one and only. :cool1:

It's only been since that STUPID travel channel and this and all the other STUPID (No, I don't mean it, I SWEAR.. I Love the disboards.. You don't know how much!) websites! :badpc:

Ok, ok... so I've been a little obsessive over the last year. We all know how that goes around here, right????

I better go to bed... I'm feelin' all ...well, doesn't that beat all....I forget that silly word for being over tired. LOL That must mean for sure that I am OVER TIRED! :lmao:

We got the free dining pin code and it saved us $750.00 for our 6 day trip which enabled us to add a day at $150.00 for 2 rooms at *** for the week of Thanksgiving. Our friend called in with the pin and it save her $400.00 for her 8 day trip but the pin code is usually marked for certain dates. You will need to check that when booking. It is definitely a great savings. princess:
