I'm so sorry about your camera! I hope it dries out! I dropped my phone in a toilet a month ago (it fell out of my pocket, I wasn't talking on it on the toilet!) and it worked great after it dried out a couple days.

I am impressed that your dad went on that crazy water ride!!!

I hope your camera gets fixed. I've left my windows open too when it's rained over night. OT, I got caught in a major rain storm this summer in my Jeep with the top down, and doors off. I was wringing wet by the time I got home. It took 2 days in the sun for the seats to dry.
So glad you had a good time with your family. Good thing your sister was in a raft on that water ride. That would've been the hugest (if that's a word) wedgie in the world!!!

Sorry to hear about your camera.......before DH and I were married, I loaned him my camera to take to a NASCAR race and it poured rain while he was there. It got soaked! I was so mad at him......at least I got to make him buy me a new one!

Sorry about your camera I hate when stuff like that happens. Mine broke a few weeks ago when I didn't have the strap around my wrist and my little cousin knocked the camera right out of my hands. UGH! I had to buy a new one but this one works great so I'm happy. Hopefully yours dries out, but if not getting a new cameras always fun! Let us know what happens.

actually i have to talk on my phone in the toilet all the time for work. not that that's part of my job, but most of the time a 5-minute bathroom break is the only chance i get to make phone calls during the day, so ray is used to talking to me and hearing the toilet flush.

my dad is insane. he's the reason why i will ride anything once - he taught me that growing up. my mom won't even ride goofy's barnstormer!

oh, don't worry......she still had a wedgie! i think that's a requirement for all water slides because it happened to me every single time!

i've never tried the sea bass.....sounds good! we got kung pao shrimp, mongolian beef, chang's spicy chicken, orange peel chicken, garlic noodles and spicy green beans and just shared it all........sooooooooo good!

Dawn great pictures from your trip to TN. That slide looks scary. Those desserts looks so yummy. You're getting so close to your trip. Keeping my fingers cross on Gustav. Cool that your camera works again. I wish I can say the same for my son's DS. He left it out in the rain and it won't work, it's been over a week since we've been drying it out.

Anyways, if you continue to have problems with your camera, or ever get any electronics wet, immediately take the battery out and put both camera and battery in a bowl full of rice and cover them. The rice draws out the moisture. it was on GMA a while back and that same day, out of 3000 sq feet worth of house, I drop my 2 day old blackberry phone in the dog water bowl. I decided to try the rice thing. i let it sit in there for about 4 hours and it worked great! Definitely worth a try!

Glad that it's working and I hope it keeps on working!

I've also heard that if you drop any of your electronics in water, submerge it in denatured alcohol (not rubbing alcohol!!), or distilled water (after quickly removing the battery and SIM/memory card). Neither of these are bad for circuits and they also serve to force the water out.

That yellow slide scares the crap out of me thinking I'm going to flip over. I know it won't and I've watched LOTS come off that thing but it just FREAKS me out!

no, i'm not in WDW right now (i wish!). see, i'm filming my videos by hooking up my camcorder to my TV, playing it and then filming it from the TV onto my camera's video feature. they're easier to upload that way. sorry to have confused you!

yeah, ray is SUCH a party animal that i just hope he doesn't burn the house down. that was a total joke. ray is the biggest non-party animal i've ever met! he likes to stay home by himself more than ANYTHING!
