The river is alot of fun. This is one of the cleaner campgrounds on the river. We have been going there since we got our first trailer. Here is a pic of the campsites, which are river front plus they are double wide.

OK....so......hows the fishing in that river??? Its gorgeous!

Thanks for the pics...I emailed my brother about the campground! :thumbsup2
You know, I dont ever remember seeing anyone fish there. There are so many tubing companies etc down there. The area is half way between Austin and San Antonio, so lots of college kids and families floating on tubes.

Thanks for the info! We have been looking for somewhere to camp in that area! How is tubing there for younger kids (mine are 8 and 5)?

One of these days I gotta visit Texas.

They say there is a lot to see but I always go the same places in Texas. Our main trip is always to FW. But if you ready to sweat like crazy summer time in Texas is the place to be.:lmao:

Never tried. We tub and raft the river. Or ride the cart around. Some people do some fishing but I don't know if they catch anything.

My 7 year old nephew went down the river with us in a raft. We go down the roughest section of the river.(more rapids:woohoo: ) To rent a tube from the people we did you had to be at least 7. But you can still play in the river in front of the campgrounds if you bring your own raft or tube you can float the section of the river that goes around the campgrounds it takes about 40 min. to float that section. My 3 year old nephew played in the river there all day and loved it. Just a couple miles from there is the comel river that all ages can float. There are a lot of options for floating the river around there. Hope this helps. If yall do go go eat at the Gristmill in Gruene Tx. The food is great and it is actually the restaurant that should be in FW themed perfectly. Have a good time.
