Pirate Night

For Pirate Night - do people dress up for dinner or just for the party? Also, do they give bandanas and eye patches to everyone at dinner - I thiught I read that somewhere.

The people who dress up usually do it for dinner and the party.

Bandanas are given away at dinner and eyepatches, swords, hooks etc are sold in the gift shop and sometimes at a kiosk in the atrium lobby.

What time does pirate night start?
If it starts early, What's the deal with it if you have 2nd dining?

I haven't seen tatoos given away by DCL. But, sometimes guests bring them as gifts for each other.

I don't remember exactly what time the deck party starts. But, we always have 2nd seating and make it in time for the party. Some late diners skip dessert in order to get a better place to view the show.

The Pirate Deck Party starts at 9:45 PM. Firworks are usually after 10:00. Plenty of time for 2nd seating dinner to be finished. You can skip dessert because there is a huge dessert buffet put out for the party.

Not at dinner, but the DVC reps on Deck 4 will have Disney pirate-themed temporary tattoos that you can grab on your way to dinner or to the party.

This is our favorite night. 3 out of 4 cruises we have dresses to the fullest. I made our outfits. We have always had 8:30 dinner. We get ready by 5:30 go for pictures wander around and enjoy the shows see others on the ship and have a great time. We skip desert at dinner to make sure to not miss any of the event of the evening. Then eat again at the on deck sweets and other food available. Then we keep our outfits on and head to Beat street and enjoy the adults events there as well. If you are going to go to all the trouble and get dressed up enjoy it all the way....
