How long does it take to get to P.C. from C.B.R.?

If I want to be at the Port right when it opens or even a few minutes before, what time should I have my limo pick me up at Disney Caribbean Beach Resort to make it to the port by then?

Thanks.

Port opens at 10:00 and the travel time from WDW to the port is about an hour...give or take a few minutes.

I would just leave directly from the parks the night before. That way you have plenty of time to spare and can actually watch the Magic dock as it comes in.

Wait, huh?

Wouldn't that mean getting there like at midnight or so, and sitting there for 10 hours till you can actually get in the terminal?

Yes, but she would be virtually guaranteed of getting a #2 boarding pass. Plus, she could just cancel her reservations at CBR and save the money. :rotfl2:

Just out of curiosity, if you arrive before 10, will there be a line to get into the terminal?

Just wondering if we would be better off trying to get to the terminal before 10, or a little bit after 10 if there is a rush.

There is always going to be a rush in the morning. I have been there as early as 9:45 and there were cars waiting to get into the terminal parking lot. When I was there that early they had people directing you to wait in your cars in the parking lot across the ring road from the terminal. When they opened up the termianal area cars had to leave the one parking lot and enter into the parking lot attached to the terminal after they checked you were on the manifest and then they directed you where to drop your luggage with the porters.

So if a limo drops you off just before the port opens, where do those people wait?

There is a covered area where the limos/shuttles pick up and drop off people. From this area there is a long sidewalk that brings you to the terminal. I suppose you are dropped off at that area and when the terminal opens they will let you walk down the sidewalk to meet the porters but you will have your luggage with you.

Maybe someone who has experience with a limo before the terminal opens can better answer

I just meant that it didn't sound like they let people out of their cars to wait outside the port, but rather directed them to an area to wait inside their cars so I wondered if there was a special area outside where they had people wait who were being dropped off by a limo or whatever.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure it can't be too hard to figure out when the time comes.

If you have land and sea and check in at the resort I would say leave at 10:30. If you have to check in at the port 10:00. Do your paper work on line and make sure you sign the cruise contract and charge card form. That will make for a speedier check in at either place. This time has always worked well for guests staying at C.B.R. Remember to have your proof of citizenship with you
