Greetings fellow Disney and trip report lovers, old friends and new friends, my name is Lessa and I will be the teller of this grand tale of adventure and fantasy, of dreams coming true, of family bonds strengthening and new and old friendships growing. There will be laughs, there will be silliness and I guarantee you there will be lots and lots of pictures! I hope that you will all stick around as I tell this tale and please don't feel shy or intimidated about posting! I love all my readers equally and love making new Dis friends so come out of lurkdom and say hello, I respond to everybody's comments. Now how did this trip come about? Let me begin our tale...
Once upon a time in a land far far away a young girl was born by the name of Lessa. From the moment she was born she was surrounded by the love of Disney. Her mother raised her as a true Disney princess teaching her all the ways of a Disney fanatic. She watched every movie and every cartoon and loved them all. Her biggest dream was to see these characters in real life.
That young girl grew older and gained two young brothers and yet she had still not been to a Disney park. Luckily in 1989 when the young girl was the tender age of six the fates decreed that her father would be sent to the beautiful land of California to live and work. Of course one can not live in California without making the pilgrimage to the land of the Mouse and thus the young girl and her family got their first taste of the wonders of Disneyland.
From that moment the three children were hooked. Sadly they were not to visit a Disney park again until the year 1997. They begged and begged their father who did not care for Disney to take them to Disney World and after many years he finally relented. It was a magical Christmas spent in WDW, one the children would never forget.
Sadly tragedy struck the family when their parents divorced, alas this is not all bad as it meant that they were free to take trips to WDW without the interference of the father. In July of 2007, the three now grown children and their mother spent a magical week at the Wilderness Lodge while soaking up the Disney magic. At the end of the trip they vowed they would be back and would not let 10 years pass between trips again. The plan was to visit again in 2010, little did they know at the time that they would be back much sooner.....
