our non-rushing (sorta) disney anniversary w/ PICS & VIDEO! new TR link - p. 136

Just wanted to say I'm all caught up again! And of course, I'm loving the report. :thumbsup2 Can't wait for more!

Hey Dawn

Just catching up wiht your TR!!! The pretzel you got in tomorrowland is so awesome! I tried it for the once time our last trip and I was in heaven!!! :cloud9: I wouldnt even share it with anybody ;)

and how cool is it you can hear the tapping sounds on main st....its amazing how everytime you go to wdw you can see and experience something new even if it is just the littlest detail...

good luck on your walk-in at LTT. i bet you could get in for lunch if you don't have any luck with dinner. plus people cancel last-minute. :thumbsup2
first one on the right got it...thanks...will be getting a snack there.

as with LTT, i think if we want it we can get it pretty easy...my parents never make ADR's and always seem to get in places..we will just see though how we are feeling that day and if we wanna eat there or not...there are many CS places in MK that i wanna eat at that i have not...we usually always eat at Cosmic rays so we dont go to the other places.

Just got back from Mexico and got caught up on your TR. I loved LTT. DH and I went there in Oct last year and DH got some creamy tomato pasta dish and it was fabulous! I can't believe how far behind I've gotten in just a week.
Now to start planning my Disney vacation for June 2009.

Dawn great installment. I'm kind of sad about LTT not having characters meals too. I was planning on going there for our Thanksgiving dinner when we go in Nov 2009 (which I thought was very appropriate considering the theme), oh well maybe I can still go or does anyone know of another good place to go for Thanksgiving dinner?

PS I live in CT too about an hour from Hartford if you come up to visit your sister we can have a mini DIS meet 2xcited2sleep!

Love the giant in Sir Mickey's, I have never noticed that, did you find out about that from the DIS?:thumbsup2

I went to MVMCP for the first time Nov 07', and really enjoyed it. I decided to buy a Mickey Santa:santa: , Jim Shore, statue. I thought it would remind me of our fun memories of Disney at Christmas every year I unpacked it. BTW, I loved:love: the castle lights, have you seen them yet?

Hi Dawn,

I found your TR on the weekend and just spent the last couple of nights reading it (ok, I did scan through a couple of pages when my eyes were getting blurry). I really love reading all about your trip. I'm planning our 25th anniversary trip for next May (7 days at OKW and 7 day Western Cruise). Thanks so much for your detailed restaurant reports and food pics. You've gone to a lot of the restaurants that we've not been to (but heard a lot about) so getting descriptions and photos are great. I'm thinking of trying to make reservations for Narcooses (sp?) for our actual anniversary dinner. Did you have to mention your anniversary every time you made the reservations to get the special treatment (and card) or were you wearing the anniversary button?

We've been to WDW quite a few times, but this is the first time in 15 years without kids so I'm trying to find things that we haven't done before. I'm anxiously awaiting your review of the P&PP. I'm cautious about doing it since we won't have any "little ones" with us.

You've mentioned that you lost a lot of weight and have been counting calories, how did you do that while at the parks? I've been on WW for years and I'm trying to drop two more sizes before the trip (to get BELOW my wedding weight which is where I am now) I'd like to be able to read through the menus to pre-determine what I can/want to eat without busting out of my clothes while on vacation. Of course the one item that will always be on my trip "MUST DO" list is a Mickey Premium Bar (8 points and well worth each and every one).

Hey Dawn,
Great report thus far. I don't know what we would do without going to LTT. We ate there every time we went to DisneyWorld. I hope the info has been released so there will be an awareness of something new at LTT. I don't know :confused3 , but I will miss the CC there. :headache:
Oh well, I guess there are other places to meet characters too. Bye LTT :sad1: .

Wow Dawn, you have so many beautiful pictures! I was going to post some of them, but there are too many to try and repost. I love that you took the time to explore the nooks and crannies of the park. Those are truly part of the magic that often goes unnoticed.

Ya for party tix. I am so bummed that we will miss each other by --this much!

I saw this when I was there in Oct. I thought it was really cool.

I have the exact same shirt that Ray has on. Did he get it at Old Navy?

oh, i'm definitely getting one of those pretzels on my next two trips FOR SURE! diet be damned! i just love the details......something new all the time!

i hear their corn dog nuggets are good for a snack! :thumbsup2

that's like my worst fear - getting somewhere and not having an ADR and not getting in. when we were at mama melrose we kept seeing person after person get turned away because they were booked. scary! your parents live dangerously!

woohoo!!! another trip to plan! :cool1:

i've heard the food at garden grill is decent and they have veggies and the like. maybe that's an idea? and it's a character meal. not quite as appropriate for thanksgiving, but just an idea.

i will keep that in mind about a mini dis meet! i'll probably be coming up there sometime the first half of 2009.

i think i saw a picture of the giant on the dis, so that's how i found out about it. looking so forward to the christmas party! and yes, i have seen pictures of the castle lights. are you kidding me? i'm going to WDW with erica (vandyfan10) in september.....have you seen her TR from last december? it's called "i'm obsessed with the castle!!!" :rotfl2: i'm sure pictures don't do it justice though.

first of all, congrats on your upcoming 25th anniversary! that's quite an accomplishment.

secondly, i did have to mention the anniversary when i called to make my ADRs. actually, it was mentioned on our hotel reservation, too. that's why we got the pins and the balloons and card from cinderella. when you call to make your ADRs, just mention it to the CM and they will note it on all of your ADRs that this is an anniversary trip. but be sure to remember that if you call back and make any changes to your ADRs, mention it again so the new CM will note it.

you'll love the P&PP without kids! we did. it was just very magical. you will see more on that later. ;)

here's how i kept the weight off on vacation: I ATE EVERYTHING I WANTED TO AND WALKED MY HINEY OFF!!! seriously. i did not diet AT ALL on my vacations (i've been to WDW 3 times since i've lost my weight) and although i may have gained a couple of pounds, it wasn't anything i had to worry about. with all the walking i did, it didn't matter! plus i drank lots of water - that helps too!

yeah, it's a bummer about LTT. i don't understand it, but i just keep telling myself that they will have something bigger and better.

i know!!!!!! we have to plan more carefully next time! :rotfl: thanks about the pictures - i just snap away!

I have the exact same shirt that Ray has on. Did he get it at Old Navy?

yep! he loves those ringer t-shirts from old navy so i stock up on them for him. he wears them under a polo for work.

just a non-update for ya. ;)

i will most likely be updating on saturday or sunday. i was going to tomorrow, but my sister is going to be here so i probably won't have time. which leads me to my next subject.....

my sister, brooke, leaves for disney world in 16 hours!!!!! :yay: i'm so jealous, yet excited for her at the same time. she and her boyfriend went last year for memorial day weekend, but because they had a mixup with their flight, they didn't have much time there. plus it was crazy busy because of the holiday. anyway, they're leaving nashville tomorrow afternoon, driving here, spending the night, then waking up EARLY saturday morning to drive to orlando. they are staying at pop century and i think they'll be there for 6 full days this time. and they're going horseback riding at fort wilderness so i'm curious about that! she is reading my trip report, though she doesn't have a DIS account. so i'm not sure she'll even see this since she's really just reading my updates. but i'm encouraging her to join the DIS and write her own TR.....so we'll see! anyway, wish she and jon a good time and safe travels!!!

lastly, for my fellow "so you think you can dance" fans, my favorite routine from last night......

it looks like something you'd see performed at epcot!!! :goodvibes

i'll be back soon. have a good friday, everyone!

The ringer Ts! I like them too. I have a white one, a blue one, and an orange one. :rotfl:

I'll be thinking of Brooke and Jon on Saturday. We are getting up at 4:30 to be on the road by 6 to head for DL:drive: . Your sis should be well on her way by then, since we're 3 hours behind you.

I hope your sister and her boyfriend have a wonderful time!

I didn't even know that LTT was a character meal...lol. I never ate there, but needed to fill one more meal slot for lunch on our last day and saw that the food is supposed to be good, so I booked it. I'm more excited now to find out that we will be doing a character breakfast and lunch and spending our entire las tday at magic kingdom....get all the magic we can before we have to leave.

Hey, sorry I'm a little late but just read the latest update. Loved the tap dancing thing, I noticed that window when we were walking down Mainstreet without kids this year but we didn't stand there long enough to hear the tapping, HOW COOL! I'll have to do that next time, don't ya just love the details of main Street.:thumbsup2
Loved the LTT review, looks like you guys had such a good meal, the desert looks yummy- bummer that meal is going away I just don't understand that!
Can't wait for more! Hope your sister has an incredible Disney trip!
