Any DVC members hopefully have heard the 7 day booking rules. Well I don't want to start in on all the issues, but I sent them an email about why this isn't fair to all members but I actually received a phone call from them yesterday morning.

They gave me the standard BS about how this was done based on member feedback, blah blah. I asked a couple questions and she said, We are monitoring the DIS discussion on this and that they have notified upper managment.

Thought it was interesting!

I believe they do monitor these boards on a regular basis. I hate when they use the "member feedback" line as it always applies to something the members never requested! It will be interesting to see if they keep the policy in force or start to tweak it a bit.

Remember it was "Member Feedback" that caused replacing glasses and ceramic mugs with styrofoam cups at the SSR and OKW studios. There was a massive outcry that led to a compromise in policy. I am stunned that DVC can be so dumb at times.

I did the Lunch with an Imagineer last year and I purposely brought up the DISboards (I wasn't listening to the podcasts at the time) and the Imagineer who has nothing what so ever to do with marketing or anything like that, said "Oh yes, we know all about the DISboards, we love fans with the kind of passion we see there." and later he said they had been reading the boards to see what people were saying about the HM rehab which hadn't been completed yet, but he was working on it at the time of the lunch.

Slightly OT, but remember it was also based on guest feedback that they eliminated the appetizer and gratuity on the DDP for 2008 [but hey, they lowered the price by $1 - thank you very much]. What a load of croc.
