Post Your Wedding Cake

Yeah:banana: I finally get to post my wedding cake. We had an escape wedding and upgraded to the Mickey Wave cake. My planner really fought and was able to get me a two tier version. We did pillars in the middle (thanks to Cinderella fan :worship: I loved the look of her cake!) with flowers in between the tiers. It came out better than I could have imagined.

We have a two tiered Mickey Wave cake on order for our wishes wedding, I was a bit worried about what it would look like as I have only seen it in three tiers, you have put my mind at rest. I love the fact that you had different characters added too.

Thanks for all the cake pics!

Anyone have a better picture of the classic romance cake for Escape Brides? The picture is so white I can hardly see it on my computer.
Thanks!

Oh how I wish we had our cake for a giant treat all weekend! I have to say Our DFTW cake was the best wedding cake I have ever had!:lovestruc:cool1:

was this the pillow cake everyone was raving about? i saw it on google images and thought of this thread -- I never got to see the OP...

I am glad to put your mind at ease. That was the one unknown we had and it came out so much better that I expected. Good luck with your wedding and enjoy your Disneymoon!:thumbsup2

Mine was a $100 upgrade for the design detail for an intimate wedding. Did I post in here before?!?! Sorry if this a double post.

Ok I haven't had my wedding yet but this will be my cake. The only difference is that it will be different shades of pink and white. The purple won't be on it also, I will have fresh floral instead of sugar floral.

I was absolutely in love with our cake. It was bang on. When I saw it from the upper level of ADH, I wanted to run right to it. Amazing...and so yummy.

To recap we wanted the Mad Hatter cake but a combination of other cakes for each layer...these were what we used as inspiration...the bottom tier of this cake in greens...

...the circles from this cake with a blue background and other shades of blue circles...

...the middle layer yellow with blue and green mickeys in various shapes and styles like this cake...

We didn't want anything flowerly or weird on the layers, just some icing piping. I wanted to show our Canadian/Scottish backgrounds in the topper so I used the topper in the previous cake for inspiration and sent this awesome "paint" job that Craig made fun of...my own drawing would have been worse but they clearly understood what i wanted.

When you combined all this together the finished product was awesome!! It was one of my favourite parts of the whole wedding and it made me so sad to have to cut it. FYI, I had them leave the fondant on my pieces and it was really yummy too!!

Here it is!!

I'm having the same cake as well.. We changed a few things. Mine will be blue, sliver and white... we are using fresh gerber daises and roses. I'm also having mickey heads on it and with are going a monogram on the top. I will post it in September. :wizard:

ooo sounds cute!!! I can't wait to see!! :goodvibes

So cute!! Was the Donald & Daisy topper extra $$ or was it included as an alternative to the Minnie & Mickey one?

Just thought I would answer you for Ecoon - her Mom bought her the Donald/Daisy figurine for the topper. (I only know because I just read her TR).

This was out at home reception cake. We did mirror image cakes to match my dress. Our reception was before the wedding so I didn't get to wear my wedding dress twice :sad2: But I got to have another beautiful dress:cool1:

We had them do the Disney parks castle on the cake. They turned out really nice, except for on the chocolate cake the frosting bled through the ribbon. Everyone really loved them and they tasted so yummy! Not as good as our Disney cake though...:lovestruc

We will be having a reception here at home in November and our baker agreed that we could decorate the cake with mini-pumpkins and mini gourds. I can't wait to see how it will turn out. Of course we will have to have the fake ones that aren't very heavy but there are some beautiful ones out at the stores already. I can't wait until we can have our reception and celebrate with our friends & families.

I wish this was a sticky it took me forever to find it. Do anyone know if you can order one of these cakes for your honeymoon?
