Look what I just got!!

We got a scooter yesterday! Long story short - we paint cars for local auto dealerships, and we worked out a trade yesterday with one of them that sells these scooters!

It's 250cc, gets 80 mpg, and will go 75 mph.

DH already has a motorcycle endorsement, so he can drive. I'm going to take a class and get my license sometime this month.

We're going to drive it up to WDW for Labor Day weekend! Not staying at the Fort though - we wouldn't have room for all our stuff!

Wow, that's some scooter Rhonda. My DS just bought a used Honda Spree. He takes it to work. It goes a whopping 35mph. If he wouldn't have bought it I would have. It is really cute and uses no gas especially when you compare it to my conversion van. Have fun with it and be careful.

I had one very similar a couple of years ago. After a small case of road rash, I sold it. Have fun, but be careful. Most people think a scooter, you won't get hurt on that, well, my elbow, knee, calf and ankle show that you can. That is what I get for wearing shorts! Anyway, don't want to scare you, just be careful.

Awesome- and 80 mpg too. I rode 2 wheelers growing up, but DH doesn't want to worry about me on the rode, so we never bought one. Enjoy & be careful. Love the helmet!

Cool scooter Rhonda.

I drive a Honda Metropolitan, it only does 40 but our speed limit is only 25 here so that is ok. It holds a gallon of gas and I get about 100 miles out of a tank. It is awesome! Fun too!




OT- You know, we sure could use a golf cart smiley. (Just struck me while I was clicking on the scooter one)

Being a fellow Floridian and a former motorcycle owner/rider... keep yourself on double alert when riding. The old people here just do NOT see motorcycles! Last night when DH was coming home from work he was held up by an accident where a Lincoln made a hood ornament out of a Harley.

DH would like to have another bike, but I am against it!

I know what you mean about the.....ahem.....age challenged....people down here. We drive a big white Dodge pickup with a big white topper on it. You can't miss us coming down the road! Well, they will pull out, and take a right, right in front of us and make us slam on our brakes! That happens almost every day!
