The title says it all!!:furious: This includes Adventurer's Club!!

So now, what to do, watch the fireworks on the 4th or go to Adventurer's Club??

this is the first I've heard of it...Darn we had planned to eat at Raglan Road in Dec. but I've never been to that part of DTD at all...so I guess I won't be too torn....

Well...sometime the party's got to end.

Just a few years ago they remodeled the west end and took out the West End stage & replaced it with BET. Now, there talking about putting up another band stage? West End was our favorite place to hang out besides the Adventurer's Club. After they closed W.E., we hardly ever went to P.I. anymore. Even the A.C. got stale for us after awhile, because we went so often, we knew all the "schtick"!

It'll be interesting to see what will come of this.

The T-Rex restaurant is coming along fairly well, and should be opened by the end of this year.

To be honest, we haven't gone to PI in a few years. Since it is open to the public, it started getting a little seedy, especially in the parking lots at night - gangs of kids being loud and obnoxious. Recently, the incidents that have happened in the parking lots sort of sealed the deal for us.

I've heard that the late night buses leaving PI can be very rowdy and intimidating. Happy drunks are great, but unfortunately there is always a bad apple somewhere.

well good to hear Raglan Road isn't closing. Bad to hear the bad things that have gone on but maybe that will change now...gonna get bad drunks in any crowd no matter where ya go...maybe not in quantity now at PI. Sounds like they may be heading to what DL has done with their DTD...I wasn't impressed with it when I was there a few months back.

Actually, who cares? It hasn't been any good for years. They ruined it when they took down the stae and let everyone in.

Yes I am

Last time we were there was after a wedding a couple of years ago - our pastor got a Bucket O Booze and was completely hammered! I was already hung over from the rehearsal dinner and didn't have much to drink at the reception at Epcot, but tried to make up for it at PI. The one good thing is the buses..... don't have to drive - but the buses are also part of the problem.

I've been to PI twice in the past few years...once to the Adventurers Club (so glad I got to experience it once!) and once to Raglan Road. And both times there were newborn babies screaming on the bus ride back to the resort very late at night (or early in the morning)... :confused3

It sort of started to lose it's identity. It originally was for adults to unwind at WDW. Then people started bringing their kids. Despite it being allowed, it really put a damper on the entertainment at the Comedy Warehouse and the Adventurers Club when there were little kids in the audience.

Some of it looks kind of cool. I really wish they do save the AC and Comedy Warehouse concept in some sort of way. Perhaps a dinner show of some kind, or something similar to Ragland Road. Serve dinner, then have the entertainment move around the diners.

In some ways I can see why those two clubs are also on the chopping block. They are very high cost cast wise, and except for admission, I'm sure the bars don't bring in near as much in alcohol sales as they would like. Because of the cult following of these clubs, how many folks have $50 - $100 bar tabs every time they go?? I know I don't. I might order 1 kungaloosh, and nurse it, then order a tall rum and seven with an extra seven and nurse that the rest of the night.

I seldom buy drinks at PI or anywhere on Disney property for one simple reason. They are too expensive! The last time I bought a beer at PI, it was $6.50 for a can of domestic beer! YIKES!!!

I also got to thinking, if PI were turned into more shops and restaurants, the busses wouldn't have to run until 2am. The last driver for any bus is responsible for cleaning the bus for the next day. Without a bunch of sick drunks to ferry around, the drivers could most likely leave when their shift was over; instead of being paid overtime to clean "sick" out of the busses.

This, like any other business decision, is tied to the dollar. PI is prime real estate that must not be bringing in enough $$ to turn a tidy profit. So,,, time to re-vamp.

Yeah but wouldn't 2 of those $6.50 beers pay for an hour of driver overtime? :lmao::lmao:

My friends never pay for Kungaloosh at the Kiwi. If you like, I can wear a funny hat and talk with a fake accent, too.
