Ya....several nights over Easter we saw them roasting marshmallows... I didn't see smores stuff...maybe I misssed that, but I have never noticed characters and don't think there are any there....I've been enough times I would have seen something.:rotfl:

All rooms get the H20 Aquatics products. They are very nice quality & fresh scented. I believe concierge/standard - they all get the same stuff. You can REQUEST turndown, but good luck getting it. :( We were less than 50% on our stays. But I am going to keep trying!! I love turndown. It is automatic on club level.

Lives4Disney :)

Channing,

I'm right there with you! In 2006 I requested turndown service and only got in 2 nights out of 7. Last year I requeted it again and got it all 14 nights! I'll be requesting it again this year, (for all 4 rooms!), I'll let you know how we make out.

Turndown service~ We just stayed at 4 resorts and were supposed to have it at all 4. The WL we stayed club level and while we did get it every night this is what happened: at 3pm housekeeping would come in and make up the room at 3:45 turndown service would come and unmake the bed that was just made 15 minutes prior! :confused3 Really now I think they need a better system! At CR turndown would come while we were out after 8pm but before 10. We did club level there too and they knew how to do it right! The YC we stayed in a regular room and only got it one night. We really didn't want it anymore anyway. At AKL we stayed Club level and the 1st night we get a call around 7pm explaining that since we had our do not disturb sign out that we wouldn't be getting it. We did NOT have our sign out:confused3 so we didn't know what they were talking about. The second night I called when we didn't get it and was told that we called and told them not to come:eek: We didn't! We just gave up since apparently they were bonkers! They also left us a magical express checkout thing for the next day and we weren't checking out nor using ME! Some-one there had better stop hitting the booze:thumbsup2

thank you for the new thread I am now super excited about my trip in 38 days

First of all, let me say I love the pictures! I have not stayed at the BC since 2003 and this thread brings back some fond memories as well as making me aware of some new activities that were not available when I was last there. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions about good standard room locations. I have stayed there at least 5 or 6 times and only once did I have a good room location and that was after talking with a CM at check-in about what I enjoyed least about my last stay (mostly walking miles of hallways to get anywhere). Of course, I have no idea now just where that great room was located! What is important to me is easy access to the lobby and Epcot. Two queen size beds (I have read that not all rooms have them) are also essential. Any ideas? Also, has anyone stayed in a first floor room and/or do you know anything about noise levels on that level? Thanks. Marie

Hope nobody minds, but, since there are some photos to help orient new people to the Beach Club, no thread would be complete without a picture of the Grand Admiral of the Beach Club, as my wife & I think of him. I present to you the WONDERFUL, WARM, FRIENDLY, and UNIQUE Art, the Greeter at the Beach Club!

Enjoy the magic that is Art, you'll NEVER regret it!

Mandymommy4 - Thanks! Just beautiful pics, I really just love the YC lobby. The floors really are so well maintained!

Hi folks,

I wanted to say thanks for creating this thread! I have stayed at the Beach Club a few times and just LOVE it. Hopefully I can provide another perspective on this wonderful place.

Returning in July!

Cheers :thumbsup2

Is Art back to greeting now? When we were there in December we didn't get to meet him because he was having health problems. I hope he is well now. :goodvibes

We saw Art in May and he was back to work Tuesday-Sunday! He was a great man to talk with! He commented on how calm my Dh was on vacation. He told him that others should look at him for an example! :rotfl2: He missed him yelling at the kids a minute before we met him!!

Thanks! I'm glad to hear he is feeling better and back to work. Funny about your dh, lol.

I was telling hubby about Y&B last night and showing him the info in the Passporter and Unofficial Guide. He agrees that if we can get it together, we should book Y&B for our next stay.

We loved our standard view room (#3526) overlooking the woods on the far end of the resort. We were a stones throw from the International Gateway and had a beautiful view of the Illuminations fireworks from our full balcony. :) It was awesome to be able to just walk down two flights of stairs and walk right into Epcot. ::yes:: Here is the layout........

This map is great! I wish BWV had a detailed map like this (other than the one I found here: http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/boardwalk.pdf and here http://www.kingdommagictravel.com/disneyworld/pdf/resort_maps/Boardwalk.pdf).

My DBFF's daughter & grandson are staying in August & I requested a water/pool view for them. I was told they will be overlooking Stormalong Bay (they are staying in a studio). When they arrive, can they ask if a certain room # is available to make sure they get the best view?

One morning we left to head down International Gateway to EPCOT and stopped to take a few pictures along the way. I honestly could have spent half of a day just snapping photos around the resort. It is a very pretty resort and the decorations at Christmas were very homey feeling.

These pictures are taken inside the Lobby. The carousel smelled so lovely. When I smell that candle I have mentioned in my Beach Club Review and close my eyes, it takes me right back into this lobby. Even if you do not stay at the Beach Club during Christmastime, these decorations are not to be missed.
