Do you have a dining #? I called yesterday to make dining reservation and was told that the # was not valid and to call 1-407-WDW-Dine. My cell phone almost went dead while waiting for someone to pick up.

Disney only provides the 800 numbers for travel agencies to call in. They are not intended to be public use phone numbers. The reason the old numbers no longer work is because they got passed around the internet and were over used. Disney shut them down.
If someone posts a number here it will likely be shut down within several weeks.
I wish there was a number that was free for everyone but that is not Disney's wish.
:(

Yep, posting a number here is a sure way to get it disconnected. As soon as the call volume starts to go up, Disney shuts the line down.

I know, What other company doesn't provide a 800 number for their guests to call?? I have just been able to get free long distance, so I do not mind now, I have spent a hour on the phone before also. Had a friend come and use my phone for his first surprise trip too, I almost passed out on how long his call was. I didn't have free long distance then!:(

I did not know that this was such a hot topic. The previous 800# was also published in a guidebook. Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it.

. . . What other company doesn't provide a 800 number for their guests to call?? . . .

1) Other companies give 1-800 numbers to generate revenue.
2) A 1-800 number for Disney would be a major cash drain.
3) There are too many calls to make changes.
4) There is no added revenue for a ressie change.
5) We have brought this on ourselves.
6) If we didn't keep making calls to make changes, we might get a 1-800 number.

Yup, they would if they needed to, but they don't so they won't.

Thank goodness for unlimited long distance. :)

Hey you guys, just the other night a Disney commercial came on with a 866 number on it to call!!! I did'nt write it down because I really don't need it but is'nt that a toll free number????????????

I actually, believe it or not, just found a working toll free number for reservations. I ended up being on the phone for an hour so I was very happy lol. I don't mind giving it out but I don't want to post it for Google to find. If anyone needs it for their own personal use, not to post in another thread, I would be happy to give it out over PM. It's an 888 number. Obviously I can't control what is done with it, I just ask out of courtesy. If it is posted publicly it will be taken down. :confused3 Send me a PM if interested as I'm not watching this thread. Thanks :)
