Hello! I am off to a really late start with my PJ, I only discovered these addicting boards about a week ago. DF and I have almost exactly two months until the big day.. so I'll do my best to catch up.

We met:
About two years ago.. we were both working at the same job, which we both didn't like. There was absolutely no immediate attraction with me, all I wanted as to stay single, and all he wanted was a relationship. I guess i'm not much of a fighter because it wasn't long until we had started dating.. which surprised everyone, including myself! A few months later we both quit that job.. and stayed together! He is the 100% opposite of what I thought my type was.

The engagement:
DF got a new job that required him to constantly travel for two months at a time. The first time he left was when we really knew we were in love. The second time he left, he was sent to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii! I was completely jealous.. until I found out the company would fly me out to see him for free!! Mom tagged along to ensure we wouldn't partake in "sinly activities" but we were having an amazing time. Our next to last day was our only day alone, so we decided to go in a shark cage and snorkel. (Amesome experience BTW) After that we ended up at some deserted beach on North Shore, we were just walking and WHAM I turn around and he was holding a Tiffany box, down on his knee! I fell in the sand, but it was sooo amazing. I don't have any pics of the engagement, we were all alone.. but these were from the same day.

This was on top of the Diamond Head Volcano. Don't mind my deformed arm.. that was a long walk!

Growing up, I had always wanted a Disney Wedding, but I never thought we could afford it. I was always the little girl glued to the monorail window as we passed the pavilion, and if Cindys coach was outside.. I know I hurt a few peoples ears!
My family's big on Disney, my first trip I was only 5 weeks old.. so seems perfect to do a Disney Wedding.
DF is 26 and before he met me, didn't even know Disney did weddings.. but being the nice guy that he is, he went along with it.. plus my parents are taking the bill..
We started planning in November of last year.. and are almost done with the planning, so I will do my best to catch up.

The wedding date is August 7th. At 5:00p.m.
The ceremony is at the Wedding pavilion.
The reception is at the WhiteHall Room and Patio at the GF.
And the dessert party is at Sago Cay Pointe at the GF.

Pregnant Matron of Honor...

The dress will be in Clover with a Sunshine yellow sash around the belly.
Sister will be 7 months prego with her first baby. Its a boy Zane Alexander, who will also be my ringbearer since we don't have one = ) She's going to wear rings tied on her belly!
Here is my other BM dress. Also in Clover with a sunshine sash.

I was extremely worried about this color combo.. but we picked them up this morning and it looks so great. I will post pics as soon as I get them...
No FG dress yet either..

Yea, I have been in between SCP and the marina for a few months now. Ken said there were only a few differences. SCP gives you much more privacy, and is closer to the castle. The marina has better lighting, but you really don't want a ton of lights for the firworks. He also said that we would have a better chance of hearing the wishes music at SCP than at the marina, esp. with all the guests who will be gathered around Gasparillas.

I love the idea of a wishes dp party and hope to do that for ours. wishes is my favorite fireworks show....I think we will have to many for the grand 1. looking forward to hearing more of your plans!!!

No, we are trying to cut down our budget, and when I talked to Ken he said it wasnt worth it. I would have liked to, but most people at our wedding won't miss it, because they have never been to Disney before. He also mentioned that we may be able to hear it from MK, but only if the winds blowing right and blah blah.. hopefully we get some sound, but I don't think i'll notice. Did you miss it at your DP? IS it worth the money?

Our DP is in January, but after going to the location with a small group of friends in early May to check it out, we all unanimously agreed that Howard and I are including the WISHES soundtrack in the budget. Many of our guests will never have seen WISHES before and we want them to hear the beautiful compilation of narration and music. I know many other brides have opted not to have the sound piped in, and their guests really enjoyed the event even without sound.

Rehearsal
Our rehearsal dinner is scheduled for 5:00 the night before at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the WL. I am quite nervous about this one.. that restaurant likes to pick on people!! ( I have accidentally ordered ketchup there before = )

Entertainment
We will be using Disney Photography and Videography.
Our photographer is Joe Duncan.
We have a MK photo shoot scheduled for Aug 10th.
I do not know the videographers yet.
I found out this morning that Scott Messina will be our DJ. (??)
We will also be having Major Domo, before, during, and after the ceremony.
Mickey and Minnie will visit during our first dance and assist with the cake cutting.
Cake
We chose the Mickey Wave as our wedding Cake. Just like it's pictured.

The top layer is Chocolate Cake with White Chocolate Filling.
The Middle is yellow Cake with Amaretto Mousse.
The bottom later is Chocolate Cake with Bailey's Mousse.
Music

Moms are coming into Jesu, Joy at Man's desiring (her choice)

Our pre-reception is at the Patio of the White hall Room.
With dinner preceeding in the Room.
Then we will be back on the patio for our dancing.
-Bride/Groom first dance. "Is this love" Whitesnake.
-Father/ Daughter. "Cinderella" Stephen Curtis Chapman.
-Mother/ Groom. Undecided.. I think DF needs some help!!
-I am doing a second father daughter dance for my older sis who didn't get the opportunity at her own wedding. "My Girl" The Temptations.
-We will also be doing the farewell dance, or some people call it the bouquet dance to "The way you look tonight" Frank Sinatra.
Any suggestions for music in the areas I left out, ie. the bouquet/garter, the intros.. I would greatly appreciate that!

Dinner Menu
Cocktail hour:
Premium Cheese display with grapes, berries, crackers, and baguettes.
Fresh Fruit Display with Yogurt Fruit Dip.
Appetizer: (Plated)
Shrimp Cocktail, Cocktail Sauce, Horseradish Cream, Lemon and Lime.
Salad: (Plated)
Iceberg Wedge, Watercress, Blue Cheese, Red Onion, and Edible Flower, Roseater Vinaigrette.
Entree: (Buffet)
Carved to Order: Roasted Tenderloin of Beef with Blackberry Demi, Mayo, Mustard, Horseradish, rolls and butter.
Shrimp and Scallops with Basil Pinot Grigio Sauce.
Cheddar and Chive Mashed Red skin Potatoes.
Sauteed baby carrots and asparagus.

Wedding Cake will be the dessert with Dinner.

The kids will get the Mickey-Roni and cheese, fries, and chicken tenders plate

Our DP is schduled for 9:30 and we will be having:
Sweet Dreams Dessert:
Mini Napoleons, Assorted Macaroons, and Key Lime tarts.
White and Dark Chocolate Fondue with items to dip including: angel food cake, fresh fruit and berries, Marshmallows, graham crackers, and pretzels.
Coffees with whipped cream, shaved chocolates, cinnamon sticks, orange peel, and flavored syrups.
This is at Sago Cay Pointe at the GF.

Favors
We are only expecting at most 45 guests so we will be doing favors and welcome bags for everyone.
I'll post pics, DF and I are putting them together this week!

Honeymoon
Df and I will be spending the three nights following our wedding at the Contemporary. We have reservations at both the California grill and the Coral Reef. I forgot to mention it was our honeymoon so I guess I will have to call back.
After that we are going on a Royal Caribbean Cruise from Sunday-Sunday. I don't remember the dates. Its a Western Caribbean cruise going to Jamaica, Haiti, Mexico, and Grand Cayman. Can't wait.. were doing all the zip lines we can find!
Somone had a link on here of a honeymoon sign with Mickey and Minnie that they put on the door or their cabin. Does anyone know where they came from??

They are Carlson and Craft that we ordered from Party City, they were mailed out yesterday morning!

Here's the favors DF and I have been working on....

I had him drill tiny holes in 50 plastic slippers so we could tie them onto the boxes....

And here is the finished product....

These are filled with all the personalized candies, bars and kisses, and a ton of those buttermint things.
We will also be doing welcome bag for each guest.

Does anyone know how to make the pics smaller on my posts? They keep posting huge.... = )
