Internet at the Dolphin

Hello

I wanted to know if the internet access at the Dolphin wireless in the room or with a cable. Is it included with the resort fee?

There is a cable in the closet at the Dolphin to hook up your thinkpad to the internet. If not, just request one from the front desk. To connect, it will cost you about $10 per day for internet service.

If you do not have a thinkpad - there is a business center on the lower floor where you can use a computer, connect to the internet and print whatever for a fee. Business hours apply (9- 5 m, M-F). I am not sure about weekend hours.

pooh2001, when you say "Thinkpad", do you really just mean laptop? I can't imagine that you would have to have the IBM Thinkpad in order to connect to the internet at the Dolphin. What if you have a Dell notebook, Toshiba, HP, etc?

I think the Dolphin and Swan charge the $10/day regardless of whether or not you connect. They now charge a mandatory daily resort fee, which includes internet access. I assume this is access from the room.

Sorry- I am an IBM layoff - old habit, thinkpads - yes any laptop will work.
Last time we were at the Dolphin (Easter 2007) we paid $10 for the service. DH has a toshiba laptop and it worked fine.

Not sure about the new fees reinstated.
Maybe the internet is now included. Nice perk if it is,
The cable should still be in the closet to connect.
Maybe now they have Wi-Fi connections, not sure.

This is my understanding as well. The resort fee covers wired internet access from your room, the health club, and I think 2 bottled waters per day.

Yes, this resort fee was reinstated in Feb 2008 but this time it includes HSIA, 2 bottles of water, exercise equipment, a limited amount of local phone access, etc. I believe it is ~$10.95 plus tax per day. It is much more for the money versus the old resort fee and it is less expensive than what they were charging for HSIA. It was $12.74 + tax of $1.21 for just the internet access. And yes it is mandatory whether you use the services or not or drink the bottled water

Swan/Dolphin direct 800-227-1500. We love the resorts and Il Mulino is the best restaurant on Disney property (for us!).
