I,m planning a trip for Sept 2009. Last time we got 3 room at all star movies, we love it!!! We are a family of seven me, hubby, 2 daughters, 2 son in laws, and grandson ( he be 2 at time of trip) Just wonder what different options are availiable. Thanks or the help.

 Wondering of a Family Suite at Allstars would work?

Sleep up to 6 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)
-Studio amenities and separate sleeping areas giving more privacy than a standard room.
-Queen bed, full-size pullout sofa, convertible ottoman & chair sleepers (4 separate sleepers)
-Private master bedroom and family room have 27” flat CRT TV and high speed internet access.
-Kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator (4.3 cu. ft) and coffee pot
-Two-full bathrooms

Hope this helps!! Sounds like a wonderful trip! :)

minnine and nana thanks for the info:) I looked at the thread about the family suite, there is mention of a family suite with a regular room next door , would i be able to make a reguest for that room? Do you know the price of the family suite? Have a magical day:tinker:

You might also consider a two-bedroom DVC. We stayed in one once with a family group of 8 + baby and enjoyed it. There are two bedrooms, two baths, plus a sofa sleeper in the living room. You get a complete kitchen, dining area, living room area plus washer/dryer.

We liked that we could gather in the mornings around the kitchen table, have breakfast and plan our day. It was more like staying in a home.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort. Although we were comfortable, I'd probably go with Old Key West next time as I understand the rooms are bigger.

please explain Dvc ? sorry about trying speeling error grandson is siting on lab ans helping:rotfl:

Hi, Grace and Mickey,

I cannot answer the DVC question well enough, but we have rented points. The best place for info would be here:

http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

Read the very first thread and then you could check out more threads. :) DVC can also be reserved directly through Disney just like a resort room - you can call or find more info on www.disneyworld.com :) It is more expensive that way.

Wish I could think of more options for 7 people - but a Family Suite would give two bathrooms, two TV's etc...I am thinking any arrangement with 2 bathrooms and 2 TV's would be a plus - be it a Family Suite or 2/3 rooms :)

Some guests rent a house/condo off site - many come with a pool! If you are renting a car and would not mind being off site that could be a possiblity. I found this on allears:

http://allears.net/acc/vhomes.htm You can read reviews there as well. :)

Did you check out the Family Suite thread I posted? Was that of any help?

Good luck!!

Yes I did, and I was a lot of help. Thank you , we really want to stay on site, i thought you could not get the dinning planing if you did'nt?And I relly like the magicial feeling you get from being there.

Oh, I agree completely! Would not stay off site. Way back in the 80's when we could find no room for a last minute weekend, we did stay at a Downtown Disney hotel, but then buses were provided by Disney and there was no EMH's, so it did not feel off site - and there was only 3 Disney Resorts at the time! Would never do that now, as the hotels do feel off site - buses are awful and no EMH, except for the Hilton.

Anyway!! Yes, the dining plan is a pkg only available to Resort guests - so everyone must have the same tkt - even if it is just one day. If youa re going long enough, it might be worth buying an Annual Pass - then you can take advantage of any resort discounts that might be available and now can add on DDP too. :)

And if you have AAA don't forget to check fot AAA rates at the resorts - this can be done calling CRO directly, but the dining plan can only be added to a AAA reservation by booking directly through a AAA travel agent.

Planning is half the fun!!
p.s. If you decide to rent points, the dining plan can be added and it would be paid for at check-in. :)

Thank you give such good info, and you type well too, I wish my speeling and trying was better, quess I need a spell checker button on the DIS:rotfl2:

LOL...oh, my typing is awful!!! I read over it and sometimes go back a few times to correct typos! I wish I was not so type A about typos!! LOL

You're typing is great!!

Glad I could help - hope it was not too much info - overlaod is not good either!! ;)
