I will be staying here for the first time in November and would like all positive and negative feedback if any. Not sure if I made the right choice as I am such a Coranodo Srpings fan.:bitelip:

We spent 8 days there in May 2007. We loved it! The resort is beautiful. DH loved that trip so much that it convinced him to buy DVC!

We loved it when we were there 10 years ago but our room got broken into while we were out at PI. Disney wasn't particularly helpful but we didn't let it ruin our trip at all. The resort itself is lovely but very spread out.

We've stayed in 2003 and just loved it. We had about a 5 minute walk to the dining hall and we just loved the walk, it was so pretty. My brother actually walked back from the bar around 2 a.m. and said he never saw so many bunnies in his life : )

Enjoy your stay, your gonna love it!

You might want to check out the CBR FAQ thread. You will find many fans of CBR. You will be able to use the new pool complex when you come.

It is a beautiful, quiet, tropical resort.

After doing much homework and comparing all the resorts, we chose CBR. It is the only one we have stayed at (3 times) becasue of the fact it is spread out and also because we have 2 sons who don't like to feel cooped up. I am biased and we have heard from other friends who have stayed at other resorts that they are also good. It does have the largest rooms of any moderate.

i really like the CBR I stayed there right after the rehab. My only complaint was that it was so spread out, however to me it is not as bad as CSR. I have not stayed at CSR but have visited several times We liked the food court and the pool area though we thought the jacuzzi was just way too small but they are redoing the pool area so hopefully it will be bigger. The rooms were a nice size and we liked the decor. We also enjoyed taking advantage of the boat rentals. We would stay there again definitely, however we still want to try to stay at POFQ.

I would suggest that you take a look at a map of the resort and make a request as to where you would like to stay. We were in Trinidad South which was really remote. The main pool should be reopened by your stay. I have always enjoyed trying different resorts. This resort has some very nice tropical theming.

We love CBR -- feel free to check out the photos in the links below, and definitely look over the CBR FAQ thread in Safetymom's signature!!!:cool1:

We love CBR too! Staying at WL this year to try a deluxe but we are already talking about staying at CBR again on our next trip. We can't wait till they get the new pool done.
Feel free to check out my pictures from 06 below.

I enjoyed my stay at the CBR, the resort is very beautiful and the rooms were a nice size. The foodcourt had decent food.
The resort was really spread out, but we used the internal bus when the kids were too tired to walk around the lake.
I stayed at the CSR this past May though and feel in love with the CSR, it did not seem as spread out at the CBR, the lake at the CBR is larger so the walk definately took longer.
I thought that the bus system was fanatastic at the CSR and I liked the food alot more at the CSR.
We stayed at the CBR because my sister-in-law wanted to stay there, it was not my choice, but if she wants to stay there again next year when we all go together I would stay there again.

We L O V E CBR! ! ! My best friend is a CM and has worked at WDW for over 20 years, so we go all the time. We usually stay at CBR (Jamaica or Aruba though this year it will be Martinque). It is so lush and tropical. I just read that they anticipate the main pool to be done by late July mid-August! They have pools at all the villages and playgrounds too. There is an island to walk across (barely 3 minute walk from Jamaica). They also have the Island of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise, which my kids will be taking when we go in October (kinda wish they offered one for adults, looks like fun!). You can see Illuminations from various locations in CBR (we saw them from Jamaica and Aruba and I you can from Martinique). You will enjoy the peace and quiet after an exhausting day at the parks, you feel like your on a private island, it's really stunning! You made a great choice!

For the sake of not confusing other people reading this, I wanted to clarify something.

You can't know that your room in October will definitely be in Martinique. You can request it, you can hope it, but you can't guarantee it.

My brother actually walked back from the bar around 2 a.m.

We are staying there in December, it's good to know the bar actually stays open late. My husband and I will be there with my parents so we will have a babysitter for our little one, and both of us can have adult time on the downtime from the parks.

Last time we went we stayed at POR went to the bar at 10 pm, sat down and the bartender said " I'm sorry last call was at 9:45".

On a Saturday night in June!!! :(

We have stayed at both and we enjoyed CBR more than CSR. The pool easier to get from our room, which was also at the food court and bus area. We felt getting around the resort was easy at CBR.

We have stayed at both. Loved the southwest theme of CSpR, DS loved the themed pool & the quiet pool in Casita's was large and so refreshing at night. Preferred CSpR restaurant & check-in, but resort is a huge layout with basically one long walk around. We also liked CaBR because we were in Jamica which was 1st for bus p/u & d/o and only across the island to the themed pool area (which DS liked less than CSpR). Would not have liked staying in the more remote areas & you never know where they're going to put you. Quiet pool was nice but smaller than CSpR and Shutters Rest. is small & nothing special to write home about. Check in & luggage delivery was poor at CaBR. Did not have time to enjoy boating or laying in beach hammocks which looked nice at both. I think I would choose CSpR over CaBR for a second visit only if I had not stayed in both at least once - because I like trying different resorts. Both are pretty resorts.

No elevators at CBR and it is such a large resort. We felt it was easier to get around at CSR.
