Balls to make E-ring fit better?

A few weeks ago my e-ring fell off onto my desk at work. Time to get it resized. I just it back and it's now size 4 1/8. It still comes off my finger pretty easily and I don't want to make the ring any smaller because I don't think I'll always stay this petite. Has any of you gotten the balls of metal put into the inside of your ring to make it fit better? If so, is it comfortable? Let me know! :)

I inherited a ring and one of them had balls in them to make it fit. It was not comfortable. I would not recommend it. However, the ring was done several years ago, it may be done differently now and more comfortable.

I have the balls in my e-ring and they are very comfortable. I don't even notice they are there. I think they might have different sizes, so they can pick ones that will keep the ring from falling off, but won't dig into your finger. I highly recommend them. :thumbsup2

Ahh the same thing happened to me!! I went into work one morning and noticed my ring was gone!!!! I didn't know what happened to it. I searched everywhere. My mom went in my room and looked on my bed and there it was! Wheeww. I was soo nervous. I am having it resized but if you go to walmart they have these things called ring cozies and they are only like $2.00. They are good for a temporary fix.

I don't know, I say get it resized. My fingers are small. My wedding band and e-ring are 3 1/2 and they still sometimes spin around on my finger, but they don't fall off. You can always get them sized back up in the future. My mom was always thin, but when she got sick she lost even more weight and had to have her wedding ring sized smaller, and that was after 40 years of marriage - so it can be resized at any time.

when i first read the title of this post, i thought you were asking if anyone had the balls to get their ring re-sized! AHAHAHAHHA:rotfl2: then i wondered why that would take balls? ok im weird...

My ring was huge and I waited until I had my wedding band to have them sized together. Like DisneyBrideToni, I went with the quick and cheap fix and got the Ring Cozies. They are just a round piece of plastic that you put on the bottom of the band. A package usually has a couple different sizes so you can pick the right one. Super cheap and super easy. I think I got mine at Claire's and everyone thought they were a great idea. I wore my ring for a year and a half like that with no problems and it made it really easy when I got the custom band made.

I'm not sure what your ering looks like, but I don't think you'd want to have a ring that is anything more than a solitaire sized to many times. I have channels sets and they are a pain to size as they often have to be reset.

I worked in an estate jewelry store, and there were many rings that couldn't be sized because they were too old and embellished to be changed and many women chose to have the balls put in. They work great, are comfortable, and can be removed later if need-be.

Good luck

Thank you for all of your suggestions!

That's hilarious. :rotfl: Well, at least I got your attention. Come to think of it, maybe that wasn't the best name for this post!

I used this stuff called Luc-Co Ring Guard solution that you apply inside the ring like glue. It dries to a soft, rubbery finish and keeps the ring on, but it peels off whenever you want.

That's such a smart idea, I hadn't heard of that before! It didn't irritate your finger at all did it?

scottish/canadian and DisneyBrideToni:
I think I might have to get a pack of those for like when I go to the beach or something, just to make sure nothing happens.
I had a pack of the ring cozies at one point, but lost them. Plus, I agree about getting it resized too much.

Lizby and chepic!
It doesn't dig in? That's great and what I wanted to know!

You have slender fingers too, I'm not the only one! :goodvibes Your doesn't fall off even though it moves, maybe I shouldn't worry so much!
