Today was our day to normally do garage sales and I finally get a good bargain. Laying on this table was a cardboard box that said Disney animation. Thinking boy what is in this box and inside was a disney cell from Disney World. On the back was a price tag of 50 dollars. No price on it so I decide what they heck and asked how much for this. She said 1.00 dollar. :woohoo: So I bought it and took it home. I will have to get a nice frame for it and hang it in my Disney themed office. Last week buy was a Mickey Mouse cake pan from Wilton for 2 dollars. Three weeks ago it was some old old disney puzzles for either 25 cents or 10 cents. There are bargains out there.

Woo Hoo!!! Great find! I also have a Disney-themed home office, to go along w/ the kids' Mickey bathroom (the majority of it found at garage sales!) - LOVE finding good Disney stuff for cheap!!!!

Gotta love garage sales!! Went yesterday and found a mickey mouse picture frame for 10 cents!!!! top that..lol. Who knows what next saturday might bring?:cool1:

Geesh....I don't usually stop at garage/yard sales, but maybe I should start! I'm happy to hear everyone getting great finds!!

Last year I found two vhs tapes of epcot and MK from the 80's. It's so funny to see all the changes over the years. Got a Disney wood frame for $1 price on it 19.99. Lots of various snow globes over the years.

Pardon my ignorance...
But, what is a disney cell?

Pardon my ignorance...
But, what is a Disney cell?

No ignorance.. a Disney cell is either an animation cell from a movie or a sericel(spelling??) that is produced for mass selling so there are like 12000 or so of the same cel available for purchase. in any case it it Disney art.

Thanks for the explanation.

I had a great disney find this weekend too!! I found a 1982 Figment Epcot Center Bank. It still had the original tag on it. I got it for 75 cents. I was so happy!

No Disney finds, but my best weekend yet. DH and I stopped at one sale and out front was a brand new dog crate for $10, price tag still on it for $80.

The next sales we went to were in a new housing development that we may be interested in moving to in the future. Anyway, we were almost through the whole neighborhood and stopped at a sale where they had the two bar stools I needed for my new pub table. Stools were brand new, $40 each, retail $90 each at Target. Expensive weekend, but great bargains on things we actually needed.

Not disney but terrific finds for us this weekend included a box with two bitty babies, plus another set of dolls - the retired blonde twins along with 18 outfits for a total of $70! Made my day! :cool1:

Then at another sale later on Saturday, DD18 found two large shoeboxes for $2.00. Both were filled with stacked and sorted Magic cards - many very early ones that she suspects may be the "alpha" cards so sought after by collectors. If they actually are alpha cards, she'll be able to sell them and possibly even raise enough to cover her college costs for next year.
She was thrilled either way but I've got my fingers crossed hoping for pixiedust that they'll be more than just extra cards to pick up off the floor.
Who'd have thought people would pay hundreds of dollars for an old magic card? I may never be abe to pass a stack of cards at a yard sale without looking again...

found over 20 disney movies for the grandkids on vhs for 50 cents each. They look like brand new when played. Loved watching the little ones faces when they watched Free Willey. 5 yr old always gets into movies but its the first time i've seen the 4 yr old sit still for a whole movie. :woohoo: In the end they were both yelling out "Jump Willy"
