How long have you waited for an ADR? How long for food?

Just curious, how long have you waited for an ADR? I know it's advised to arrive 10-15 minutes early, but I have a scheduled ADR is for 5 p.m., when can I expect to actually sit down?

We usually only eat at CS restaurants and enjoy making it a quick lunch/dinner, so I'm worried about spending too much time eating instead of playing. We currently have ADR's for Le Cellier and Coral Reef, and I'm don't want to spend 2 hours of my day in the restaurant.

What time was your ADR's? And how long did your entire meal usually take at various CS restaurants in DW?

I think the longest we´ve waited was 20 min. at the Sci-Fi. We usually only have ADR´s for character meals (most of them buffets) and they usually take us approx 1 1/2 hours.

We have a buffet, but I'm worried b/c of Free Dining, that I will get trapped in the sit-down-restaurants because of slow service.

Haven´t been during free dining, so I can´t comment on that, I´m sorry.

Waiting for our ADR, 1 hour past our time and we did arrive 20 minutes before that so 1 hour 20 minutes at H&V Dec 05...it was the holidays and there wasnt anywhere else to go so we stuck it out and the food was terrible.

Ohana was the runner up, 40 minutes past our ADR time and we arrived 1 hour before our time (no prob we chilled at the bar). I didnt mind this wait because we had drinks in hand and we were so excited to try this place and the food was AMAZING!

We have not had to wait long for the actual food....shorter waits then I would have thought. Better than some of our local restaurants thats for sure.

The longest I've waited is for Sci-fi for just under an hour.

Technically, Chef's de France was the longest but that was because she skipped over us on the list. The hostest was pretty rude about it. She claimed she called us but my DH (unbeknowst to her) was STANDING BEHIND HER! The only thing aside from completely skipping us is she so mangled our name another family took it.

We waited for btw 20mins-40mins at the following:
Whispering Canyon dinner
Sci Fi lunch
50's Prime Time dinner

None of them were during free dining but I believe the first week of December is meant to be a "quieter time".

I"m with you about not wanting to spend two hours eating when I can be out playing, and that is why we don't do DDP. I'd get indigestian if I tried to rush through 3 courses in much less that two hours.

Anyone that has dined at Le Cellier or Coral Reef, how long will it actually take for us from sit-down, to out the door?

One thing I will give WDW credit for is mighty quick service. They turn the tables pretty quickly and with a peek at the menu before you sit down. They can get you out pretty rapidly, with the exception of the check. I've never waited longer anywhere then WDW for the pick and return of my check. Nothing will drive me crazier then waiting to leave.

Ate at Coral Reef yesterday. We only had an entree (we do not do dining plan) and total time from check in to out the door was probably 1 hour 45 minutes. Waited 10 min past ADR time but service was a bit slow once we were seated. Place was packed. Our waiter, once dropped off food, never returned. I was drinking water only and ran out, had to finish meal with nothing to drink.

Longest wait ever was 3 months ago when we waited an hour past ADR for table at CG. Other places we have waited more than 5 m inutes is Le Cellier and Bistro de Paris. CG and Coral Reef are consistently running behind every time we eat at these places.

The longest we waited to get seated last September was about 20 minutes at the Rainforest Cafe. And I'm thinking that was because their was a HUGE group in front of us waiting to get seated. Everything else was 5-10 minutes, which was about how early we arrived each time.

The longest time we actually spent in a restaurant was a little less than 1 1/2 hours. And that was at the Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner. All our other meals were 45 minutes - 1 hour. We don't like wasting time eating, either :)

We had heard about long waits at O'Hana so we arrived 45 minutes before our ADR time. Still didn't get seated until an hour and 15 minutes past our ADR time so total wait was 2 hours.

Second longest was about 45 minutes at Le Cellier.

A few years ago on New Years Eve my family and I had an 7:00 PM ADR for Boma and we were not seated until it was around 8:30 PM. However that was to be expected since it was a very busy time at WDW, so we could do nothing but wait.

During free dining last year we waited over an hour at PTC or about the time it takes to drink 3 Yuenglings without rushing it. Our time in to out was allmost 3 hours. But we were fine with it, since Fantasmic got rained out.

Chiming in to say WOW at how patient some of you are, lol. There's no way I would wait more than 30 minutes to dine somewhere if I had 'reservations'. I just can't do it, lol. We've never waited more than 15 minutes to be seated at Disney.

Just curious - do the CMs advise that seating is significantly behind schedule when you check in at the podium?

We had a 5:20 (maybe 5:15? right around there) for Mama Melrose's last year, and we arrived right around 5:00. The waiting area was packed, no chairs left to sit down to wait, and people everywhere. We didn't get seated until after 6:00. I didn't go to the podium and ask, but plenty of other people were asking, and the hostess was getting annoyed with it. I was irritated, but I felt worse for the family waiting near us, the lady was very pregnant and not feeling well. They were seated right before we were, but they were there when we arrived and their ADR was earlier than ours. I don't know what the deal was, they were (obviously) turning away walkups, and since it started pouring the rain right after we got there, there were plenty of those.

Other than that, we've never waited more that 15 or 20 minutes.

We arrived 40 minutes early for our Boma ADR. They took us 45 minutes after the ressie time. Very long wait - I don't think we would do it again. You just keep thinking - we have to be next...and then you aren't.
