Beer Around the World

Alright I know a lot of people are against this but has anyone else recently done Beer Around the World at World Showcase in EPCOT? For those who don't know, you get a beer in each country and try to make it from one side to the other. 2 years ago we did it (skipped a few countries) and in July are going to try to conquer it again with another couple thats coming with us. Has anyone else done this and on which side do you start? We started at Mexico but ppl that have done it b4 have said to start at the other side... any thoughts?

I can't see what difference it would make which side you start on, just that you hit them all. For that matter you could walk back to America and start from there. Be sure to pace yourselves since there are 11 countries. And be sure you know where the restrooms are.

I was told to start with Canada and UK b/c of course those are some great beers and not you average bud light. We aren't doing liquor, only beer so it might be better to end with a Corona than a Moosehead, LaBatts, or Molson.

Well, where you start and end is a matter of personal taste and completely up to you. There is no "right" answer here. Just do whatever works for you.

Don't forget the new Promenade Refreshments and the Fife and Drum Refreshments. Seasonal beers. And the beer is gone from the Liberty Inn (the Fife and Drum is right outside the Liberty Inn).

As an ex international world showcase cast member we attempted this monthly (atleast)....I never made it all the way round but it was fun trying.

We always started in mexico and never got to canada. We were UK cast members so always ended up in the R&C.
I know we always skipped Italy *** unless its changed or you want to go eat in the restaurant there's no way to get a beer to go there.

I dont think it would matter which end you started at, altho if you were staying at the epcot resorts it would be closer to home to end in Canada

I would second this thought!

We've made it almost all of the way before, starting in the Canada/UK end because we figured that the better beers were there. (Some beers along the way were gross and got tossed, so maybe that's why we made it?!)

We have to go to the buses b/c we are staying at POP. They don't have beers to go in Italy? That stinks

I'd say it would be closer to home to end in the UK. Seriously, just start in France and work around from there - or vice versa.

Only beer drinker in the family (wifey no likey and son to young) but have had a beer...or two in every country. My favourite being all the great pints in the UK at the R&C. Have fun

We've done it twice and made it around once. Made for a very early evening! We started in Canada and worked our way around. The trick is, keep your water bottle filled with water and only do about 2 countries an hour. It can be done! Don't forget to eat something once in a while either. We tried to "wine around the world" once....didn't make it real far. Couldn't have just one in most countries and wound up buying 2 cases and having it shipped home!

Yes.....they have Peroni beer in Italy at the stand outside. I also think they have another Beer but forgot the name. So, you have 2 choices in Italy. They have been out of Casa Beer in Morocco since the beginning of the year and have not had anything to replace it. I just got back yesterday and was very disappointed on Sunday when I was in EPCOT.

Are you just going to do one beer in each country? Because some have more than one kind of beer. Now, THAT would be drinking around the world. Having every single flavor of beer in World Showcase.

Yea just one beer. HAHA that would be crazy if you had every beer, lol. We would all be passed out on the benches, carried out of the park. Plus we have a morning breakfast ADR at 'Ohana at 8:15 AM the next morning b4 we go to MK, lol should be interesting to see how that goes.
