DL Character Meals

We are going to Goofy's Kitchen, The Minnie Breakfast & Ariel's Grotto Lunch. I am trying to get info on the characters that are at least USUALLY there. I know Goofy, Minnie & Ariel at each. Can anyone tell me the others? Any tips also would be great! THANKS!!

Ariel hosts the lunch at Ariel's grotto. You will meet her when you enter, but she does not go table to table. You could see any of 4 to 5 princess, including Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, Fairy Godmother or Sleeping Beauty.

If I'm not mistaken, Pooh characters will make an appearance at Minnie's breakfast.

Not sure about Goofy's.

At Goofy's you will see Goofy, pluto, chip and dale, and minnie. Then there will be an assortment of others which seems to change a bit - anyone from peter pan, Alice, aladdin, any of the princesses,(have seen Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Snow White, at differernt times) and one one occassion we also saw some Lion king characters. we have also seen Max, and Balou there.

At Goofy's we have also seen Donald Duck, and the penguin form Mary Poppins. It was just us two adults but we love the interaction with the characters!

We were just there two weeks ago for lunch. We saw Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Cinderella and Snow White. We were hoping for Belle as that is my DD 14 favorite princess, but no such luck!! Good luck to you!!

We will be just getting off a DCL cruise where hopefully we will see/interact with many characters. I know there is a character brunch on the cruise. We'll only have 2 days after the cruise to do DL. Would you even do a character meal if you are short on time and already had opportunities for characters? If so, what 1 would you pick as a must do?

Its been a long time since we went to Ariels, all I remember seeing is Ariel, of course, chip, dale and pluto, I do not remember seeing another princess as all actually.

At Minnies, which we did last April, we saw tons of characters!! Minnie, Mickey, Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Alice, Mad Hatter, Captn. Hook, Fairy Godmother, Chip and Dale, I think thats all, but there could easily have been more!! There were tons!!

We have been to goofys several times, some that I remember seeing there were Goofy, Max, Chip, Dale, Pluto, Baloo, Mad Hatter, Rafiki, thats all I can remember though!! I thought it was great to see Rafiki!! (I hear Timon can make an appearance at Chip n Dales in the GCH!)

I personally wouldn't waste valuable park time with a character meal, especially if you have had character time on the cruise.

Ariel's is now a "Princess Celebration" character meal with princesses only (well, with a Fairy Godmother and Princess Minnie thrown in here and there for good measure).

We just went to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast last Tuesday. We saw Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale, and Pocahontas.

Thanks so much for all your help! It really does sound very random! I guess we will just have to be surprised!!! We love to see them all! At Disney World the Character meals are out favorite, so we are excited to try them out here for the first time!! Thanks again!!

Ariel's is only Princesses, they no longer have other characters there. At Ariel's we have seen
Ariel
Belle
Jasmine
Cinderella
Aurora
Snow White
Mulan
Pocahontas
Not all the same meal, this is over the course of 4 meals there.

At Minnie's we saw
Captain Hook
Chip & Dale
Gideon (from Pinocchio)
Eeyore
Geppeto
and I'm forgetting someone else...at least one other character, maybe 2
That's who I was forgetting!! Alice and the Mad Hatter!

Goofy's Kitchen we saw quite a few characters but had very little interaction with most of them. Not sure why that was the case but most of the characters we saw were on the way out and they never stopped at our table. The ones that did were good but there were only about 3 that actually stopped, the others just waved and walked.
Snow White (stopped and she was great, said she remembered seeing the girls yesterday in CA at the Animation Building where they were celebrating her movie anniversary. And we had seen her there, it was the SAME Snow White!)
Chip & Dale (stopped and they were hilarious)

Pluto
Baloo (played with the kids as we were leaving)
Cinderella
Jasmine
and a couple others that didn't stop by our table.

We won't go back to GK anytime soon, our experience there was not a good one but we love Ariel's Grotto and Minnie's breakfast was tons of fun. Our first character meal was Lilo & Stitch in 2006, we really enjoyed that too.

I spoke at length to our server during or Ariel's dinner... and she recalled 1 breakfast, where all the princesses were at some royal Disney party the night before, and weren't called in for breakfast... she said they always have Ariel, no matter what... but that morning they had: ariel, the fairy godmother, Aurora's 3 fairies (flora, fauna, and meriweather) and cinderella's mice (gus and jaq)... I guess she had a few complaints from some little girls that day... but she said it rarely happens that way... it is almost always all princesses.

Wow, I would be really disappointed in that lineup! I mean, I know there is no guarantee that you are going to see your "favorite" princess, but out of 4, there is bound to be at least 1 that you really like, KWIM?

I know... although, I would love to meet all the ones she mentioned... but if I was expecting princesses, it would be disappointing... that said, the cm said that it was a rare occurance not to have all princesses at the meal... we got discussing it because we got Mulan that day instead of Cindy... the others we saw were Belle, Aurora, Snowy and of course Ariel...
