I am officially certifiable, and the guys in the white coats (with LGMH's I hope) will be coming to get me at any time now.

I am torn between WL and that boat to MK or POFQ and more $$$ to spend (like for the MNSSHP)

Help me pick please, since I get the feeling I'm no longer rational at this point!

I'd take WL over the extra money because the boat to MK is a lot of fun for me. I prefer it to the monorail. But im not sure about the tenting. Depends when because in the late summer months it'd be really hot. Not an option for me since I can't drive there so I never though of it.

I'd choose to stay at WL for seven days, and skip the tent portion of the the vacation.

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy camping, just not in Florida. I prefer doing it further north with a lake or river next to the campsite.

If you have to have 9 days, go with POFQ. Also if you're going to spend your entire vacation at the WL thinking about how much money your spending, and you're not going to enjoy it all, just stay at POFQ.

Good points. I have to agree. Could you do a split stay w/ WL and POFQ? I think you'll love the boat to MK too, but the bus transportation (at least for us) wasn't that great from WL. POFQ has great bus transportation. Just a thought!

Hope you can work this out so you'll be really happy w/ your trip!!! A wise person once told me: "I know one thing - if you don't get what your heart desires, you will just keep waffling about what you have!" Maybe this isn't the time for the Poly for you....or maybe it IS for 2N w/ the balance at POFQ. Or maybe 4 at WL w/ the balance at POFQ? I feel your pain!!!! Watching to see what you're poll says and what you'll book!! Good luck! :surfweb:

Not a fan of the tent!! I would choose POFQ (but rather have POR cause it's nicer) just to stay away from the tent!:scared1:

I would do Port Orleans. I would rather have the extra money any day than a 15 minute boat ride. Probably the same reason I would never go to Cali Grill for dinner and fireworks when I can have a slushie from Scuttle's and watch the fireworks by Dumbo. :hippie:

Same here. I would choose 7 days at WL or maybe stay off-site over a tent.

when are you going?

late spring, summer and early fall - it too hot and humdity in Orlando to even consider camping (my opinion)

that say - winter and early spring - yes! now there are still some times even in winter when it just stays hot.

so might reconsider the camping.

might do a value for 2 nights then WL.

I started at the BC then switched to AKL because it saved me $1000 then I just switched to POR and it saved me another $700 or $800 can't remember. I just can't see spending it because Port Orleans is wonderful.

I wanted to vote "an asylum for resort switchers", but I voted the way I would do it - 9 days at POFQ.

Where would we place this asylum for resort switchers? Maybe we'd all like to go to that resort instead!

I voted for Port Orleans because I didn't like the tent part of the WL stay, but after reading all these posts, I'd like to switch my vote! Why not stay at Port Orleans for 3 nights and WL for 4 nights? We just split a stay between POR and WL last week and while I'm not a huge fan of split stays, I must admit it went smoothly. The resorts do all the work in transferring your luggage. Just get up in the morning and go to your park as normal and around 4:00ish just return to your new resort! On our switching day, we went to MK so that we could boat over to WL. It was fun! Both resorts are very nice. Loved the food court at POR. Loved the entire decor and feeling at WL.

Hands down Wilderness Lodge. We hated our stay at POFQ. If you can afford the deluxe, go for it.

Your making me want to switch and this is not even my thread. Why did you hate POFQ?

OP I think you should do 7 nights at WL, definately not camping :scared: .

You guys are great! Thank you!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay at the POFQ and have three nights at WL as one of the posters said. I really couldn't see staying for two nights in a tent with the two boys. Two much stuff to pack and repack. So now we're all set for our stay.

(Unless a large bag of money falls on my head and I switch the whole darn ressie over to Poly for good! ;)

Thanks again for all of your good ideas!
