We just returned (4/16-19) from CSR. It was our first visit there and we had a great stay! I would definitely advise anyone that may be interested in this resort to visit the CSR thread, as they have some fantastic information for anyone who has not stayed there before. Believe me, I would not have known the best room request to try for had I not read up on it, and we got our request, which really made the stay much more enjoyable.
CSR is really beautiful. From the convenient parking for check-in, to the beautiful fountain once inside the lobby. All of the staff, from the baggage check-in, to the front desk were some of the friendliest I have ever met. The grounds were immaculate, and we loved walking around and enjoying all of the beauty it had to offer. There is a larger area of water in the center of the resort where they have a marina for some water activities, smaller ponds also are placed on the property. The lush landscaping is a feast for the eyes. The larger main pool has a slide (was being repaired while we were there, but was opening the day we left), and also has a cantina on site at the pool. We visited the Peppers Market Grill twice while we were there, and I have to say it was one of the best property dining experiences I have had, the food was plentiful and really good.
In addition, we have stayed at 4 different on-site properties, and CSR offered the best bus service from a property we have ever experienced. The only downside, is that on your return, if your stop is at the front of the resort, you are the 4th stop at CSR; however this was just a minor inconvenience.
From my perspective, Cabanas at 9B offered everything a family with small kids would enjoy very close walk to bus service. There was a smaller pool in the next building, but the walk to the large main pool is so short, it was not a factor in deciding which pool to go to. It was also just a short walk to the lobby area and restaurants.
We would definitely return to CSR.
