I was wondering if anyone has used this company for a double stroller. I would love to rent one, but am hesitant because of the hassle with the buses and all. What do you all think? :confused3

nope never heard of them but i wouldnt go without a stroller either way.. the rented ones at disney are hard plastic and dont recline.I think a double stroller might be hard to get on/off the busses and the trans as well. We bring a single stroller and its a fit of a struglle to get it on the trams but i wouldnt leave it behind. Also just for the info get a plastic stroller cover at toys r us cheap investment but a lifesaver..and yes i live in Florida where monsoons are typical this time of year.. did the kid with the wet butt wayyy too many times. Sorry i couldnt help otherwise.

Oh yes, without a doubt, I will have a stroller there. I could either bring my single jogger for my 2 year old and buy a buggy board for my 5 year old, or just rent a double jogger when I get there. I could sell the buggy board when I get back. I am also afraid that the airlines will tear up my fairly new and expensive single jogger though. Just not sure what to do!!
:guilty:

I used ABBF :thumbsup2 in May 2006 for a double stroller rental... All went well. Got a side by side. I came wrapped in plastic, dropped off at the front. We also rented 2 bed rails from them, and they were great too...

I do remember that DH had to get his own row :rotfl: on a tram in order to get from the MK parking lot to the ferry. That is the only time I recall it being a real pain. (fortunately the tram wasn't crowded!)

Good luck..!

Did you guys have to get on any of the buses? If so, how was that? I guess with the cost of renting double strollers at DW nowadays, people ought to start getting used to seeing more doubles on the buses, huh?
What condition was the stroller in? Any damage?
Thanks so much for everyone's help!!
:woohoo:

They were great. We rented a double stroller, and a toddler bed. Both came wrapped in plastic, toddler bed with very clean princess linens (a big hit with DD2 at the time). They were great! Everything was waiting for us when we arrived, and bell services took it when we left. I agree the double stroller was a bit of a pain on the buses, trams etc, but overall we had a very positive experience. HTH Kate

id rather deal with a bit of a pain getting in and out of the busses then try to carry a sleeping child after the parks close. maybe try to get a double stroller thats front/back rather then both kids sitting side to side.seems easier to navigate in the shops etc I am slo going to a bandana on the stroller this time thinking two things 1-it will be easier to spot 2- if we get hot we can wet it and use it as a towel . just tossing ideas at ya.. yes i am a Disney junkie :)

I guess people will just have to understand when we get on those buses with a big double jogger!! So, the strollers do come in fairly nice condition then, right? Now you have me thinking about renting a toddler bed too!!

My rental was 2 years ago.. the side-by-side stroller was fine. Not new, not too used, it was clean, you could see tire wear, but it was just fine.. (that's the best I can explain). The bed rails I rented were in very good condition.

I think the choice of side or front/back stroller is different for all of us. I have twins and they never liked being front back. My old Graco Duoglider was just about as big folded as the side-by-side was... I don't feel that there is a winner there. DH got pretty efficient folding that thing down quickly! :lmao:

Not sure what to tell you about the toddler bed. I'm squeezing my little guy into a pack-n-play this year (comes in the room). Not so sure about next year though! Someone here will have a good suggestion for you. Hmm, what about a blow up bed?

I haven't rented from them but have heard very good things about them from plenty of dissers. As far as getting on an off of the busses w/ it I would not worry what others think just make sure you figure out a system b/c that helps alot. I also try to have the stroller folded up before the bus gets to me. I had a graco single stroller that was as big as the twin front/back stroller we used it twice in disney it was heavy and dh hated to lug it onto the bus but as long as my dd was happy that was all that mattered to me. I try to be cautious of people when I get ont the buses w/ my stroller and such but if you are going to sit in the front seats and just stare at me as I am walking by you and not try to keep from poking out in the isle or you can't walk to the back of the bus and then sit knowing people have to get on w/ strollers you are asking to be hit thats JMHO. I also think disney should allow the bus drivers to open the back door for the person who has to walk on the bus w/ a stroller if it is full when they go to get on b/c we all know thats the only place you can stand holding a stroller.

Instead of the toddler bed maybe just rent the side rails i have used them many times with my kids and none of them fell out. the toddler bed might be pricy and a pain to walk around in a smaller hotel room.i am sure he/she would like to feel like a prince /princess and might speed up the fact for potty training isuues and such seeing your doing "DIsney " alot of magic can happen.. you didnt say how old the children were but that can play a factor in your choice also. maybe call the hotel and see what they have to offer as far as beds etc. i know Walmart has an adorable princess blow up bed in there camping section.. My 5 year old keeps begging for it , but shes kinda big for it.Most hotels have roll away beds , porta cribs etc. we fit our then 2 yr old (autistic son ) into one ( comfortably) when i was scared he would wander off in the middle of the night using a reg bed. prob solved and it felt more like home to him anyways. We just brought his blue blankie to make it like his bed at home, but him being Autistic it made for a few more challenges.. Remember what ever works and it easier for you , then thats what I do. Have a great Trip !

You will still have to fold the stroller up on the buses just like the trams. You don't on the monorails, but if you get a side by side they don't fit that well unless you get the wheelchair accessible cabin. Be prepared for dirty looks and extra wait time to get on trams unless you can really hussle, we found that getting on the trams people would rush in front of us and the tram drivers are pretty strict about strollers not sticking out etc. We rent at the park, or bring two single umbrella strollers.

We have used ABBF numerous times on past trips, and they are the greatest. The double jogging strollers are wonderful, as is all their items. It was already a better bargain to rent from ABBF vs. the park strollers, and with Disney's megggggga price increase it is really a no-brainer now.

HTH!

Does anyone have a link or phone number for them, I am too interested in renting some kind of stroller for my trip in October.

I would love to rent a stroller from them, but how concerned do I have to be about someone taking it while we're at a show or on a ride or whatever?? It's our first trip so I'm not sure what to expect...I don't want to rent a stroller and have it stolen :sad2:

I spoke with them just the other day about the same concern. He said they are adding a plastic coated cable combination lock in the rental items and it should be on the website soon, but if anyone asks about it they can add it to your reservation. Like ten bucks for the week I believe. Long enough to run through the back tires, or a front and rear tire, etc. I would do it just for the peace of mind. I will keep checking their site and let you know here when I see it.
