Childcare at the Resorts

Has anyone used the childcare at the resorts? DH and I would love to have time to go out one afternoon alone and ride some of the rides together that we want to do. I'm a little nervous about leaving DS alone with something like in room sitter services. Just wondering about others' experiences.

Over various trips my dd's have been to Simba's clubhouse at AKL, Neverland club at the Poly and camp Dolphin at the Dolphin and like them all very much. Camp Dolphin adn Neverland club are tied for favorite with Simba's a close second.

The really enjoyed their time at the clubs and often asked if they could go when planning a trip.

FWIW, the hours are 4:30 to midnight so it will have to be a late afternoon/evening if you decide you want to try one.

Thanks! I just read over the rules and they have to be 4 and DS will only be 3 years old. We're going to see what we can do about something else.

I'm using Kid's Nite Out. www.kidsniteout.com

This is our first time leaving the kids, but I've heard so many good things, I'm actually excited for them and for my romantic dinner with DH! The sitter comes with a bag full of arts and crafts, toys, etc... They really make the child feel like it's a special play date.

I've heard from parents who have hired them during the day and they will take the kids to the playground, walk around the resort then out for dinner - if you wish. We'll be gone from 7pm to 11pm (4 hours minimum for the service). We're having dinner at the resort then we're going to play it by ear. If they boys are having a great time and we feel comfortable, then we're going to head to MK otherwise, we're going to stay at the resort have a cocktail and watch the fireworks from the beach. ;)

I couldn't use the kids club since my little one is too young.

I've been reading up on them. I dunno...It's just so all unnerving for me. I'm going to post here and on the resort board to see what others say. The search function hasn't been working for me. Please let me know what you think after you use them! I'd truly appreciate it!

Thanks!
