I am debating weather or not to buy my kids crocs. I think I am going to get me the origional crocs rx since I posted here before about possibly having a bunion. I haven't had any problems lately though so I am not sure if it is one.

I tried on cheap crocs, I think they were nobo or something like that, at Walmart yesterday. In an 8 they fit ok but my heal was RIGHT at the edge and I had thick socks on. I tried on a 9 and I think they were better, but maybe without socks they would have been too big. Do you think if I get the crocs brand I should get a 9 too? I normally wear a size 8.5 or 9 sneaker. Or will a 9 be too big?

How many little boys actually wear crocs at disney? Of course yesterday my 4yo was excited to try on the "crocs" but I think it was just to try them on, and not because he really liked them or cared one way or the other. I think they are about 5.00 at walmart. I am sure the 4yo will not be walking quite as much as the rest of us but what about the 8 yo? Should I get him a cheap pair of crocs too or get the disney name brand crocs? I really like the sandal type crocs they have for boys but not for almost 70 dollars!:confused3

I had bought a pair of the Walmart brand crocs last year for my dd who was 4 at the time. She got blisters from them. I bought the name brand crocs and she had no problems. So, I've been buying the name brand crocs ever since. Yesterday I bought Crocs for the whole family from ShoeBuy.com. There is a 20% off code (Anniversary08) and free shipping. I spent $79.76 for 4 pairs (2 kids pairs and 2 adult pairs).

My kids wore the real Crocs for a week at Disney last year and had no problems. They are 10 & 9. They 've tried on the Wal-Mart brand and they didn't like them. I bought a cheap pair and they hurt my feet. Then I got a pair of Crocs and I love them. Now I have lots of pairs in alot of different styles.

For us, it's name brand Crocs only.

All imitators (including Payless, Walmart, Skechers, Cali, etc) are made from a knock-off brand of foam (because of patent laws), are usually much firmer and more likely to cause blisters. :crazy2:

Name brand Crocs. My dd went through two pairs of generic crocs(blisters and the strap broke) Now my son and dd wear crocs all the time...no problems...worth the money.

Shoebuy is awesome!!!

I have only bought dd "real" crocs. However, for myself, dh bought me a pair of "faux croxs" last year. I could take 'em or leave 'em. However, I went to Learning Express the other day right before we went on a cruise. I found a pair of adult Mary Jane crocs for $15 and bought them. They are sooooo much more comfortable than the faux croxs, you would not even believe. And our Learning Express will give you 20% off if you bring in an old pair of name-brand crocs. I believe they are doing some sort of "pay-it-forward" thing w/ poorer locations and send these "outgrown" crocs to them.

Name brand Crocs - especially if using them for a long day at the parks. I wasn't a believer until I actually got my own pair!

I never thought I'd be purchasing $30 plastic shoes for my boys, but I just bought them both a pair of Disney crocs.

My kids have had real crocs as well as knock offs from payless, walmart, and JCPennys. They love them all and don't seem to know the difference.

I have had 2 real pair of crocs and a pair of knock offs from payless. The real ones are so much more comfortable. So it is only real ones for me. My DD's seem to prefer the knock offs since they can pick them out at the store and leave with them. Crocs are hard to find around here unless you buy them online.

Cool I didn't know Learning Express was part of that program. I read that they actually send the shoes back to Croc and they grind them up and make new shoes and send them to developing countries I think it is. Anyway I know they are grinding them and making new shoes I just can't remember exactly where they send the new shoes. But regardless I like the idea that it is keeping the old shoes out of the landfills and if I can get a discount too well

I was wearing Crocs before anyone even knew they existed. I got a lot of "guff" from my grown kids because at the time they had never seen anything like it and thought I looked like I was wearing clown shoes!:lmao:

I have arthritis and it started in my feet. Crocs were the ONLY shoe that I could wear and feel comfortable in.

Please don't buy the knock-off brands they are NOT the same. :thumbsup2

bought mickey crocs on the Disney cruise when my tennis shoes rubbed blisters.

So much more comfortable than the knock-offs I already had.

Spend the money on the real thing!

Yep, just agreeing with skipping the cheapies. My son got nothing but blisters with the cheapies last summer. He's been wearing a pair of name brand ones for about a month now with no problems.

And thanks, "skw444" for the 20% code at ShoeBuy! I'm going to check them out for some for me - the kids each got a pair recently, it's Mommy's turn! :D

We went to an Outlets Mall just south of Indy a while back and stopped into the Crocs Outlet. I found some #8 Dale Jr. Crocs for $9.99. Not being a NASCAR fan, I passed at first. Then I thought about reversing the strap, and Bingo...Real Crocs in my school colors and a great price. :cool1:

You talked me into it. I will get them both the real thing too :). I am going to take a chance that ones I buy online will be the right size. I will see how much it will be with the code at shoe buy. Thanks!

Nothing but the real thing- the others don't feel the same way.We can walk all day at the parks with no blisters ever!

In case you do get the wrong size, Shoebuy has a very easy and free return/exchange policy.

Anyone wear crocs that have wide feet? When you buy them do they fit true to size?

I do. I usually wear a 7.5 tennis shoe. I can wear either the Caymans in an 8 or the 6/7 Beach. I prefer the Cayman because the Beach are bordering too short but the 8/9 was entirely too big. I wear 8 in the Capri; they are a tad too long but the 7 was just too tight. I also tried the Patra and Prima, but did not like either.

Good luck and happy Croc hunting!!!
