So as the title says we are leaving tomorrow AM :scared1: for a 3 night stay at the contemporary. This flies in the face of my normal planning -our July vaction that has been booked since December all the ADRs are planned etc...So I feel, not prepared please help allay my fears
So my questions:
We're going w/our daughter who is 2 (turns 3 on the 19th) will we need proof of her age? What kind of proof if we do?
We've never been in April -what clothing would you bring?
We checked online and the temp. is going to be in the 70's - Capris, sweatshirts
Any other advice for last minute trip going?
What about dining -is it possible to get ADRs now during school vacation or should we plan on CS?
THANK YOU!!

I can't really answer your questions but just want to wish you a fantastic trip:thumbsup2 , I'm so envious of you, I wish it was me:goodvibes

THANK YOU!!

1) Bring a photo copy of her birth certificate(but why-unless you are flying I don't think you need it)...but it might make you feel better(you have proof of her age).

2) Shorts and capris/cropped pants and a sweater/ light jacket in case it gets cool. Bathing suits and t shirts. check weather if you need ponchos. The most important temperature is the overnight temperature-if it is low-mornings and evenings will be cool. If it is like 65-then a sweater/jacket should be enough-bring something that can be layered together incase a cold front(low) moves in and you will be ready.

3) Call immediatly for ADR's you might be suprised...also usually you can get a later table-just feed your dd earlier and bring a little something to keep her entertained during your dinner. Keep checking for your ADR's if you are not lucky...and CS or restaurants in resorts are also good possibility. IF it rains call immediatly alot of people will cancel their ADR's. At Easter we were able to change a ressie last moment from Tepan Edo to Chefs(during a rainy night and we got in no problem-never hurts to ask).

My motto is bring one thing for a cool day just incase-so you don't have to buy expensive sweatshirts/sweatpants.

Are you driving or flying?

Nope you dont 'need' anything. They dont ask.

We've never been in April -what clothing would you bring?

We checked online and the temp. is going to be in the 70's - Capris, sweatshirts. We are going in two weeks and packed shorts/capris and tshirts, and will be bringing the mickey sweatshirts just in case.

If you want to get an ADR call when you get to the room, we have done this before (but before the dining plan became so popular) but we were usually able to land something... its worth a try!

Have fun! I am insanely jealous and I only have two weeks to wait! Have a great time!

it's extremely hot there right now. With all the open areas and the sun beating down it feels more like 90's than 70's. I would bring a sweatshirt though as the evenings can get a bit chilly and very quickly.

You should be able to get TS easily as long as you are flexible in times. And there seemed to be plenty available for walk-ins with waits as little as 20mins.

Have fun!!! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for the responses!! We are so excited (and frantic trying to pack)and we really lucked out with airfare, hotel etc!! - we're flyi ng but got DD her own seat
