The transportation at the CBR was great during our June, 2006 stay. We took our car to Epcot the first day. The second day, we decided to use the bus system. Boy, were we glad we did! No worrying about where to turn, if that lady in the red van was gonna turn out in front of us, etc. Just leave it in the capable hands of the Disney bus driver. It was also nice to get in a nice cool bus at the end of the day instead of a steaming hot car.

Because the CBR is so centrally located, it never took us long to get anywhere.

The buses ran often. Some times, there were two and three buses at the bus stop at once. Even though we didn't use it, there was also an internal resort bus.

We stayed in all but POFQ and CSR has them beat hands down!

CBR: There are too many stops and the busses seem to run infrequently:confused:
PORS: If I heard "last stop Riverside" one more time I'd scream:scared1: . Last to pick up, last to drop off seemed to be the norm!
CSR: Never waited more than 10 mins for ANY park bus, and the ride times were always short. Four stops and each one is convenient!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I don't get where there are nightmates concerning POR or POFQ. I stayed at POR last September and never waited more than ten minutes for a bus. Of course, there was only one stop after us, so by the time we got on, we were on our way. And I never cared about standing on the bus.

We haven't stayed at CSR, but I can say that POFQ had better transportation than CBR. We like the boat option to go to DTD. Very leisurely ride.

The bus is shared with POR, but POFQ is the first pick up and the first let off, so transportation is better on the FQ side.

The most reliable transportation option is walking! I know your poll was about the mods, but we love the Boardwalk area because we can walk right into Epcot or a bit further to MGM.

I thought POFQ was great. We only stopped at the POR bus stops once during our trip in February.

You know, in three stays at POR, we have never had an issue with the buses. No long waits, no having to stand in the morning..nothing like that. Perhaps we've just been lucky.

POFQ, the only issue I had was at DTD. But that wasn't just an issue for POFQ/POR. At one point, not one bus showed up for over 20 min for ANY resort. They were all filling up at the Marketplace and we were at the West End. So none of them stopped. That isn't a resort issue. That's a transportation issue. From what I heard, many drivers had quit recently which is why we had a problem. I'm sure by now they've replaced them.

WHen the resorts are very busy, like in the summer, POFQ/POR is a NIGHTMARE! We would get on at POFQ, then have three or four POR bus stops that we had to stop for every time. IT took forever to get to the parks. :(

Buzz,
Your site is great! Man that must of took a lot of time. Do you have Travel times by bus and by taxi for CSR to other Diney resorts and Parks listed anywhere? Also any idea on cab fares to these places as well. We have never been and don't have a rental car. We are staying strictly on the Disney Area. THanks for all the info!

We've never stayed at PORS (first time this Sept:cool1: ), but have stayed at the other three. I'd rank them as:

#1 CSR-even though we did not care for the resort, they definitely had the best transportaion

#2 POFQ- first stop going to the parks and first stop on the way back

#3 CBR- horrible transportation system. Buses were slow coming and it took forever to just get out of the resort with all the different stops. CBR is the only resort that has it's own internal bus sytem just to go from the diffferent villages to the food court. It's that big and spread out.

It only takes about 5-7 mins to get to AK, DHS and Epcot and about 10 mins to MK. There is no resort to resort transportation.
