do you get a receipt for a payment online?

Yesterday I finally booked out vacation package for June 13th! It said to begin with it wouldn't accept my payment because I tried to pay the whole balance. I was using a bank Visa and I think they only allow you to pay up to 2000 dollars at a time on the card. If it is over that you have to write a check out. Anyway, I just put the deposit down and was going to try to pay 1500 on it today. I went in and paid 1500. It said thanks for your payment. Right underneath that it showed my amount -200 deposit and -1500 but then right underneath it said select the amount to pay in order to continue. It didn't say print this for your receipt or anything. Do they not usually give you something to print and then send you an email of your payment or does this mean for some stupid reason again it didn't pay the 1500?:confused3
 
I'm not sure if you get a receipt since I've never done it online before, but I'm sure if you check your online bank statement it will show if it has gone through or if it is pending. If there ends up being a dispute you can show them the bank statement or something like that.

It usually take a day for the email to come thru
wait 24 hours and see what happens
 
mine come via email every time i make my payment
jusr did one on the 1st of april receipt came email yesterday
 
Interesting! I wonder what the difference is? Mine have always come via snail mail. I really look forward to getting those in the mail!
 
Just wanted to let ya know that a payment FINALLY went thru. After about the 5th try. I even called to make a payment over the phone and she said I better wait and call the bank and the bank said nothing went thru and then the chat box came up and she said the problem was that I was not clicking on partial pament (With a debit card visa, I was not allowed to charge the whole balance in one day). I would type in how much I wanted to pay but I didn't switch the little dot so it was on partial payment I guess. So on the 5th try I finally got it. I am not sure if I have an email receipt or not, but it does show up under the reservations that I made that payment so that is what matters.
