Magical Express and Carseat Question

Alright, I've used ME before, so I know how it works, but this time it will be a little different.

Normally we just do the parks and use the Disney transportation, so we haven't needed a carseat in quite some time (we normally use a towncar service). This time, we'll be at WDW for a couple of nights and then going on a Disney cruise. A DISer friend of mine who lives in Orlando is going to take me and dd to dinner at 1900 Park Fare, and then we're doing the parks together the next day. He is then taking us back and forth to Port Canaveral so that we can save some money (VERY generous of him to offer).

My question is, has anyone checked their carseat and placed one of the ME yellow stickers on it and it made it to the room ok? I guess I'm a little nervous because Southwest will wrap her carseat in plastic (it's her old one, so I don't want to buy a bag just for this trip), and that means I'll just place the ME tag on the plastic. I know that I can go to the carousel and get it myself, which I may end up doing, but I really don't want to have to lug around a 30 lb. carseat if I don't have to! ;)

DME will transport any and all items that you check with your airline.

If it is checked with the airline and if you put a DME luggage tag on it, then just let DME handle it. It is situations like your that make DME's luggage delivery a genuine help ... who wants to lug around a 30 pound car seat that's not even going to be used at that time???

I'd be much more nervous about how the airline handles it than how DME handles it ... DME has a MUCH MUCH better record with baggage than the airlines! No need to be nervous about DME and luggage.

Thanks Eric! I guess the thing that makes me the most nervous is that since it will be in the plastic bag, there's not a "handle" like there is on a suitcase to affix the ME tag to. Since I have 6 of them, and only will be needing two, is it ok to to stick some extras on the bag in case one happened to come off? Yes, I'm seriously overthinking this!! ;) :lmao: :scared1:

The luggage tags are about a foot long and about an inch and a half wide. The back of the entire tag has adhesive, with a peel-off backing.

The instructions with the tag tell you to just peel off the end tabs (after you've looped the tag through your luggage handle) and match up the ends securely.

Why am I telling you this? Because, you CAN peel off the entire backing and stick the full-length tag flat against the bag containing your car seat. It'll probably never come off :teeth: but yes, since you'll have extra tags, go ahead and attach a few like this.
