After we left the parks on Friday night we headed over to Little Saigon to find dinner (at 11:30 at night). We found a really good Pho place, but I went for the bun. Yummy!

We probably were. I know we passed a Lee's. DBF loves those sandwiches, but I can't stand the pate in them. We weren't too far from the exit for Little Saigon (off 22?). Wish I had met you before the trip. We could've had a DIS meet there. I met one of the girls from the wedding boards while I was there. DBF just doesn't get the DIS.

Yup Vietnamese, although we are now learning that he is probably more Chinese than we originally thought (G-pop's family escaped when he was really little). When I met him I thought he looked Chinese, but his name was Vietnamese. Explains why his mom's name is one of the "Smiths" of Vietnam. (You probably know the Vietnamese name I'm referring to, but I don't want to share it on here).

If he's at the same job next year, I might be able to sneak another DLR trip in since the conference is in San Diego again. Right now I'm hoping for him to have a conference at the Contemporary in June. It's not looking likely though

Funny story:

When I was in college, we took my BF at the time's mother out to Wendy's, as she had never been. She asked what a "frosty" was, and we told her it was pretty much a chocolate thick shake. So she ordered a cheeseburger meal with a Chili. OK. When the cashier askd her what he waned to drink, she reiterated that she wanted a chili. We were all very confused until she mentioned that, if a frosty was a chocolate shake, wasn't a chili a vanilla one?

She got a coke.
