I was unable to DIS much this past week. I was last on page 17. Go to catch up and find I had to read up to 58!:upsidedow

First off, Happy (way) Belated Birthday Jordan!!!

Second, love, love, love all of the peeps pictures!!!:rotfl2: They are great! And I, too, bought the peeps bubbles at the dollar store over the weekend.

Baby Jordan is the sweetest!!!princess:

Lovin' your report so far Jordan! Now I hope I can keep up and stay ahead of the game! Hope you are feeling better!:goodvibes

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: ...that's so cool you're speaking Glasweigan, all you need to do now is watch "So I Married an Axe Murderer" a few times to perfect the accent and you'll be able to give Disneyolic a thrill:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: I'd be carefull about giving Dawn a thrill, she has quite a reputation...................:rolleyes1

That's why I watch Craig Ferguson that and he's cute. Ok, he's really funny too!

I love accents period...I think because I live in a land where there aren't many accents...or maybe I'm just used to Hispanic and Asian accents....

We call your reaction to TT "Shaky Hand" . I like the ride I just think it'd built up a little more than it should be. Maybe its just me. I fear public restrooms...but in disney ya gotta do it.

I love the end of TT....it's great, but 40 minutes wait when you don't have to...that's what got me...

Oh no, that bathroom sounds gross! It cracks me up that you rated the bathrooms :lmao: We're usually in the bathroom every half hour while at Disney so these are actually very useful! :rotfl: Great update... what did you think of the new SSE?

There's one day where I have a ton of restroom pix...:scared1:

your report is my favorite!
:wizard:

Thanks so much....

Jordan,

Enjoyed today's update -- I love Epcot. We rode Soarin' this past summer and made the grievous error of not getting FPs, but standing in line (for over an hour)! It was horrific -- DH even napped by leaning against the wall, moving a little when the line moved, and then napping some more. I don't know what we were thinking. We loved the ride though -- it was one of our top 10!

Our society is so much more into immediate gratification. I was talking to my roommate and we remember waits of 60-90 minutes being the norm for attractions....

Sunshine Seasons food looks delicious! I was thinking of trying it this next trip instead of our usual Cantina San Angel!

There is alot of selection there besides Asian...I just went for what I knew...;)

Icky bathrooms -- :crazy2: there's nothing worse! DD even refuses to use the restroom if it is gross -- shudder, shudder!

I would've passed, but I HAD to take my seat on the throne...:rolleyes1

The worst bathroom I've ever been to is this one at a rest stop between LA and Palm Springs - it was at night and we stopped because DD had to go to the restroom (as well as some other peeps in the car), and it was super dark (lights were practically all out) and sooooooo grungy and I could barely even see where I was putting her to sit - let alone if there was anything IN the toilet already... ewwwwwww, it was soooooo nasty. AND, she was small enough that I had to hold her on the seat so there I was squatting down, holding her up... ewwwww. So I couldn't even hold my nose to avoid the lovely smells since my hands were occupied... LOVELY. :faint:

Yikes.......:scared1:

YUCK you should have let her pee in the grass.:lmao:

I am still a little lost after all this time. Are you Jordan's cousin ? If so I just wanted to say I wish I could have met you too and the rest of the group. Oh well maybe next time.

She is.....

Are you psychic again?

You'll see in future posts. But Jordan's making me go chronologically so you'll just have to be patient.

Hee hee. :rolleyes1

Must....go....in order.......all...peeps...in....a....row....

See, that's the part of motherhood no one warns us about! And then one day you find yourself in the middle of California at a grungy rest stop trying to balance your daughter and hold your breathe without fainting :scared1: !

I think you win the gross bathroom story hands down!

If you know the area she's talking about, you would know it's reaaaaaaaaally bad....

There was no grass! And I didn't know until I got through the looooooong line of desperate people having to go... maybe if she was a boy I would have let her just pee wherever... ha ha ha. It was so icky.

Yes - I'm Jordan's cousin... are you the Tabasco shirt person? I get confused about all the players too - and there are more coming out of the woodwork all the time - haha. I met BlueEyedGirl and EnglishRose but that's it. And of course I know GirlNextDoor (Kim)... but that's about it...

I'm sure you'll see more pix of us after we arrive :3dglasses

It's been crazy at work and home so I barely have time to read, much less post... but seeing as how we "arrive" today (2/3) I guess I have to start posting my perspective. Sigh. :surfweb:

That's right. You can start any time...no rush....

:rotfl2: Yep -- with the first one I wanted her to achieve every milestone as soon as possible -- with the second one (my son), I was in NO rush -- diapers, bottles, crib -- I drew all of it out as long as I could without getting strange looks in the grocery store and from friends :).

I would comment more on this, but I don't want Oh Mari to come a ding me...;)

Hi Oh Mari...:yay:

Hi Jordan! I keep running into you on some of the TRs I'm following so I thought I should come over and check yours out. Very funny!

I started reading your PTR quite a while ago - I must not have subscribed because I lost track of it somehow. Anyway... glad I found you again. I'm especially enjoying your pictures from Pop - I'm staying there in April.

Can't wait to hear more about your adventure.

:welcome: Thanks for coming back...its' crazy......

Love your restroom rating system. I think you should publish it and sell it :lmao:

I'm not a huge Test Track fan. It's an ok ride, but definitely not worth a long wait. Soarin is terrific. I'm glad Disney brought it to the east coast!

The peeps pics are great! One of my students made a 100th day of school poster out of purple peeps (100 of them) and brought it in last week. I need to take a picture of it.

We want to see....

Good morning Peeps!! Love the latest Peep pix and the toilet rating.:thumbsup2 For us ladies a factor is how long is the line .:rotfl2: ery important when you are hopping from one leg to another if you know what I mean!! I so hope you go in May 09 Jordan . :worship: For me it will be trip #3 for the FAM #2 & #1 for 2. DSIL is getting told things already like you have to pay 18% tip on a party of 6. Is that a law ? :rotfl2: he asks I know what to prepare him for to avoid shock and embaressment next May!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm working on DH for May 2009, also!

Oh I think I can beat it !!:thumbsup2 In Yugoslavia many years ago 3 friends and myself went into a nearby market town and DF HAD to go, :lmao: ll I spy a BAR and figure they have to have one! :rotfl2: Well after a bit of charades to make them understand they direcy=ted us to the bathroom. We walk in and look around !!:confused3 No toilet BUT 2 rocks in the middle of the floor with a hole in the middle . :rotfl2: ell when you goot go You goota go!!:rotfl2:

That's almost like Okinawa - cement hole in the floor :scared1: Just in case the picture isn't clear - people sprinkle....:rolleyes1 Try keeping your clothes out of the mess and smell while squatting low enough - takes talent! :thumbsup2

Not to be outdone, :) , I have to share my wonderful experience with rest stops......We had just gotten to the beach when dd who was about 5 at the time decides she must go NOW!!! So we get back in the van and travel for about 15 minutes till we came to what I will loosely call a bathroom....it was closed! So I decided to teach her the wonderful skill of squating to pee without getting it all over yourself..................yeah, didn't work so well. We both ended up covered in her pee and she fell bottom first into a mud puddle! Kinda put a damper on our day.

Agghhh! :scared1: Bet those Disney bathrooms look awfully nice after that one!

Well, here's my family's big story: it's not really a bathroom story, but it does relate...

When I was 15 (yes, I was one of THOSE 15-year-olds), my parents took my brother and me to Ireland and England for the summer. Well, we were in this little Irish village before we did this scenic drive called the Ring of Kerry. My mom told me to go to the bathroom, and being me and terribly stubborn about doing ANYTHING my mom told me to do, I said I didn't have to go. Let's just say I was hurting after that drive, because despite many offers to stop so I could go on the side of the road, I refused to do anything that humiliating. To this day, we still joke about going before we leave on a road trip because, "We don't want another Ring of Kerry!"

All these restroom stories are hilarious.....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Thanks for sharing your horror stories...

Hey, there are just some things that are good to know.:thumbsup2 Especially if you have just eaten anything with raw onions....;)

It's not a big restroom but it was clean and there weren't many others using it. There was a cleaning lady standing in the corner kinda randomly cleaning things. I noticed this because she was pretty much in the same spot each time we were in there. Kinda creepy but I s'pose it goes with the job. Which reminds me...when I retire and move to Fl. to work for Walt ,I need to be very specific about where I won't work.

Note to self, stay away from cleaning lady...;)

Jenna!!!!!! I think we are going May 09......

I would've gone SR, but didn't want Kim to have her first time be with a stranger. (Keep it clean folks...:rotfl2: )

To quote Austin Powers: Oh Behave! ;)

I am so glad that Mojo was there for you at Epcot!! I love Soarin'. Went on it for the first time in Feb. and it is now a must do!! I hate the bathrooms by it, so I am amazed that Kim gave it a 2 flush. They are always crowded and loud when I am there. Ahhhhh your mojo working

It must have been working overtime because it really wasn't that bad. And I was the child who would not sit on toilet seats that were black (remember those?) because I thought they were dirty, LOL! Oh, what I must have put my mother through! Although I have to admit, she didn't offer to hold me up over the bowl while holding her breath either like Wendy did for her DD, ha ha!

very pretty manicure she's got going there. :)

Thank you again for noticing. For interested parties, the color is OPI Strawberry Margarita. The perfect vacay color, no?

She didn't even finish her meal. I had some of her broccoli.

This was how it was for most of the trip. By the end of the week the fridge in our villa was filled with my leftovers!

Hey Jordan and friends-keepin' up!! Love the bathroom ratings!! I went to the Soarin' bathroom 2x and it was okay, I'd give it a 2 also. Wasn't crowded the first time-maybe the second time would be a 3 b/c it was crowded and many baby changes happening!!

:wave2:

Lori

I'm working on DH for May 2009, also!

That would be great to see J and T again...Would you do a DCL as well?

I'm thinking the Soarin restroom is hit and miss.....

Yikes.....

I'm trying to talk him into 5 days WDW and a 3 or 4 day Wonder!
We have some "use or lose" points from our cancelled Sept trip. I thought the first part of May would be a good time for us!

That would be great.....!!! Derek also mentioned the 4 day, but Wendy doesn't think she could go back to a 4 day after the 11 day and 7 day. I would have a hard time going back myself...unless I got a double dip out of it.:thumbsup2

I know, we have said the same, but I am thinking about it as 4 days of relaxation and pampering. :cloud9:

Chapter 17. Sunday, February 3rd. Day 4. Part 3. Magic Kingdom-Friend or Foe?

So when I last left you I had a most unfortunate incident with a Slip N Slide restroom at Epcot.
wdwfeb2008086.jpg

After that we took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom..uneventful...no peeps, no sleeping pics....no Winkers..:confused3

I know Magic Kingdom is busy on the weekends, but it was the only day it fit into my "perfect" :rolleyes1 itinerary. I was expecting it to be fairly busy....

We rolled on up to the entrance and it wasn't too bad...Hey maybe MOJO factor will stay in the plus column?
wdwfeb2008088.jpg

I was feeling lucky and happy at the moment:
wdwfeb2008089.jpg

We head up Main St and take a few pix....crowds still not too bad...
wdwfeb2008091.jpg

If you notice the guy's shirt in back of Kim......LSU...it wasn't the first time I saw a shirt like this.....or the last.....;) :rolleyes1

So I call Joanne (JoJo) and they are in Toon Town....We head over there. They are by the Barnstormer....

It's hitting about 1:30pm...at it was HOT. Asian man here started sweating as we made our way over to Toon Town...
I started noticing around the Hub area that we were starting to come upon alot of people...when we got by the walkway between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland it was a bit busier....

When we got to Toon Town.....it...was...a....complete.....MADHOUSE....Mojo Factor=non existant In fact, the MOJO probably went screaming....

We finally kicked and pushed down enough toddlers and pregnant women to get to Josh and JoJo...;)

Josh and I had a conversation about the heat and the time of year....Baby Jordan had been asleep but was now awake and looking for "food"
wdwfeb2008092.jpg

Still very cute, but just a bit hot and hungry....

They were planning to do more Fantasyland after that...So Kim and I decided to continue on our own....We said our goodbyes and promised to meet up to watch the Super Bowl.

On the way out of Toon Town, I express my feelings...
wdwfeb2008093.jpg

We decide to go over to see the Haunted Mansion since they had upgraded it. We have to go through Fantasyland to get there. :scared1: :scared1: I think every person in Fantasyland owned a stroller and wanted to take us out.

We were a bit frazzled with the crowd by the time we made it to the Haunted Mansion. The wait time posted......40 minutes. Kim and I look at each other and decide we've had enough. We decided to see if our room was ready. I pull out the cell and there's a message from the BCV..our room, 302, is ready....:thumbsup2 We're soooo out of there...

But not before Kim gets her Dole Whip...
wdwfeb2008094.jpg

The line didn't look awful......so I take a seat.....5 minutes go by. Then 10. Then 15. Then 20...about 25 minutes later she finally gets her Dole Whip....
wdwfeb2008072.jpg

Nice tongue Kim....

On the way out...I spy my first person sleeping....I was so happy
wdwfeb2008090.jpg

He has a stroller which means he probably dealt with the mob mentality in Fantasyland/Toon Town as well. We were lucky to get out relatively unscathed.

We get out of there and hit the bus....MK was not our friend today......Mojo gone into hiding......

Here we are on the way to our room.....

I wonder where she learned to stick her tongue out for pictures??

wdwfeb2008095-1.jpg

Great update! Strollers are one of those things that are great if you need one, but something to be feared when you don't have one to use as a battle ram or shield.

Awww it's too bad about the MK. I've experienced the same thing with strollers in Fantasyland. They are totally necessary (I would NEVER bring my nephew to the MK without his), but I just wish some stroller drivers would watch where they're going! The stroller parking outside of Mickey's Philharmagic rivals Madison Square Garden parking during a Justin Timberlake concert.

Peeps 100th day of school poster photo to be posted tonight.

Can't wait to see BCV!!!

A little Brit humor on the bathroom saga!! " Going to the Loo,Loo, Loo , you can come too, too , too. then repeat !":rotfl2:
