How's the earl of sandwich? is it good? i saw some pics of the sandwichs on the food porn thread, the cannonball i think it is meatballs look goods?

is it expensive? do you like chose what you want in your sandwich like a subway or our they pre-made/ menu?

it's a DTD isnt it?

thank you everyone

also any pics of food from there?

I haven't had a sandwich there since it first opened but for a quick breakfast one morning DH and I each had a cup of soup (chicken and rice) and a yogurt/granola parfait. It was really good and kept us going till we were on the road home. Prices aren't really that bad except I find their bottled drinks too expensive. We bring our own water so we didn't get any sodas.

Good food! Usually very crowded, so, plan accordingly. I am not that big on sammages :) per say, but, they draw me in here.

Every one has their opinion, and here is mine: It is GREAT! I was very worried on our last trip in December when we walked in at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon and the line for the counter seemed like it went on forever- and it was crowded. But some how, their system was working. The line moved FAST. My husband and I had the Caribbean Jerk and the Tuna Sandwich- both delectable!!! :)

I says- Try It, You'll Like it!

We LOVE Earl of Sandwich! We ate twice there on our last trip and enjoyed every bite. Even the kids loved the food! Definitely recommend!

Earl of Sandwich is one of the best counter service locations in all of WDW. I always order the All American with no Cranberries and one the side I get their Tomato soup.

Earl of Sandwich is one of the best counter service locations in all of WDW.

I completely agree! My family of five orders five different sandwiches and each and every one was delicious! CR FAN is right on about the soup, too! YUM!

The line does move very quickly, so don't be alarmed if you see a long line.

imho, earl of sandwich & wolfgang puck express are absolutely the best CS anywhere in WDW. we prefer WPE a bit more, tho (we're just not big bread eaters). WPE has a delicious roast beef & blue cheese salad that i have no less than twice every trip :lovestruc . & DH, aka "the pizza man" (seriously, the man will eat pizza every day, even for b'fast :scared: ) rates their pizza as the best in the entire WDW area.
both are in DTD, very near one another.

Oh now you have made me really want one!

Claire ;)

EOS serves some darn good sandwiches. They make them when you order and then pop them onto a moving toaster-like at Quiznos. They come out hot and delicious. The original was great-shaved beef, horseradish and cheddar :)

We went (on the meal plan) in Oct/Nov, and ate at EoS no less than 4 times (in 8 days). Honestly, the best meals of our entire trip (and I don't eat sandwiches at home). Our kids love the pizza sandwich (me, too), and I had a standby of the Earl's club. My hubby had several favorites.

Anytime we left our resort (Ft. Wilderness) for anywhere not accessed by boat, we had to make a run by DTD for the sandwiches. Love that you can eat outside. Our trip next January will include several trips to EoS.

YUM!! We love it!

I don't remember how much it was because we were on DDP, but it was so yummy! We only went once last time..we'll go more than that next trip!

everyone should try this place at least once......we go at least two times in our week visit to the mouse.....I love The Full Montagu and the Cannonball is good too......my hubby likes the Beef and blue and I want one right now......they are so good..

We ate there a few months ago, DH had the meatball sub which was awesome but we asked for it with light sauce....dont like them too juicy and I had the motzzarella with basil and tomato...it was to die for! We shared a strawberry jello with fresh diced fruit on top, very refreshing. Cannot wait to go back next month.

I vote YES too!!!

We have ate there several times and everything we have had was excellent!!

As another poster said, the line moves very quickly. I have had their salads and they are awesome. They make them right in front of you as you are going through the line.

I LOVE Earl of Sandwich! I always get the "American" turkey, cranberries.... yummy!

I find the prices to be really reasonable for resort/WDW area.

I don't know if we went there on an off night but my family really didn't care for it. It was total chaos in there with a HUGE line and people waiting to snatch one of the very few tables the second someone's butt left their seat! The cannonballs sandwich was REALLY SALTY - my son and I both had it and neither of us liked it. Maybe if we ordered something different and didn't even think about trying to eat there we would like it better.

We tried it for the first time in August because of the rave reviews here.... my DH and I thought our sandwiches were "OK"... (I'm personally a Panera Bread fan myself).... but our girls were completely grossed out by their PB & J sandwiches!!! How can you mess up PB & J you ask? Well, they toast them and the bread is very thick and I couldn't even stand to try it :rotfl: :rotfl: We ended up getting them uncrustables when we got back to the hotel. I think we'll stick to our favorite-Wolfgang Puck Express-next August! :thumbsup2
