June 20, 2009 Magic

We'll be flying I would imagine. I can't imagine driving with my MIL and FIL all the way :lmao: . I wouldn't mind driving though and squeezing in an extra week at the beach.

There is something so odd about talking about this trip when I am still tan from last week and this is so far in the future! I guess if we averaged it out by the planning time and the actual cruise itself it would be very affordable per minute.

Go Bucks!

rofl

more than likely flying - since I spend so much time in the car as it is

Might try to tie in a few days in Orlando - depends on when Harry Potter opens at Univeral
:rotfl2:

Hi! We are also booked on this cruise! It will be:

me 38 (at time of cruise)
DH 45 (at time of cruise)
DS 16 (at time of cruise, also autistic)
DS 14 (at time of cruise)
DD 12 (at time of cruise)

This will be our 4th Disney cruise, although we haven't been on the 3rd one yet-it will be in July08. We are also not used to cruising this time of year-we have always gone in November, but our kids school schedules have changed, so now we only have so much time! The price difference is incredible, though, I agree! :)

We have added 4 more people for a total of 11.........by next week I think we'll be 15! I think the final total will be around 20.

Fun, fun, fun!

We are booked on this cruise - me and my daughter who will be 18 and celebrating her high school graduation

busy time for us now - she is on 2 swim teams and her high school swim team season is hot and heavy right now

Hey welcome aboard! I've seen your name on the Marching Band threads. My dd does Marching Band as well.....

lettie

Welcome Marla. What a nice graduation gift. I keep saying I want to go with just me and my girls but time keeps flying by. Where are you guys coming from?

Looks like were all from all over the country....from one coast to the other!

lettie (oklahoma right in the middle)

:wave2:

thank heavens our marching band season is over - but swim season is hot and heavy - or until the first part of March - then we can relax a couple of weeks - rofl

so I am doing plenty of :drive: back and forth to pools

I wish we had a swim team, my dd loves to swim. But our school is way too small for this. She's in Winter Guard at this time...their quite busy with practice every night.

lettie

I think we're in too, will know for sure on Sunday.

Okay...I've looked at other meet date (I guess that's what you call them) and they have special names for themselves. Like Red Hot Chile Peppers, Treasure Hunters, things like that. I think we need something catching for our group of cruises....any one have any ideas?

In regards to swimming, to find a team - you could go to http://www.usaswimming.org/usasweb/DesktopDefault.aspx and on the left on their home page, you can search for a club or LSC

Club swimming usually practices once a day - depending on their schedule.

Her high school team practices 3 times a week - unless you are a club swimmer and then they only go once a week -

Just had our Sectional swim meet last night, she qualified in her 50 Free as an individual and 2 out of the 3 relays she was on qualified - so we are off to the District swim meet next weekend

Or if there is a Y near you, check to see if they have a swim team.

:)

We're in for sure.

Me - 50(ish), DW 40(ish), DD 14.

Had to give up the Westbound due to biz, this will be 8th grade graduation present ( like we need an excuse ) for DD - if she does her homework!!!

Hi guys!

It's nice to see that our group is growing. The groups w/ nicknames have usually cruised before or are going on a special cruise. We could work up something w/ Tortola in the name.

"T-----ing Towards Tortola"

Anyone have t verbs or other ideas???

Is anyone bringing boys near the ages of 10 & 12?

My son will be 12 at the time of the cruise...does your son like playing basketball? That's what my son loves to do....on the cruises before...he was out on the court before the sunrise every morning. He's the type of kid that never sits still for long.

We are off to Canton Oh tomorrow morning - providing we aren't snowed in - the 2 relays that she is on qualified for the state meet -

He plays bball but desperately wants to be better at it. He might enjoy the opportunity to practice his game. He's on one of 2 teams at school this year in 5th grade. His team turned out to be the superior team, but since he's not a starter he feels terrible. He's also bummed b/c his 2 BFs will likely make the Gold team aka A team in 6th grade, while he's likely to be on the B team.

Perhaps we could have them email each other & closer to the cruise. It would be nice for him to make a friend before the cruise.

Will your son be traveling w/ other family members or friends close to his age?

Ok....I'm still brainstorming. Does anyone like any of these?

Tearing up Tortola

Taking in the sights in Tortola

Ticking away the Time 'til Tortola

Toddling off Towards Tortola

Lettie: I'm a teacher, so when people ask a question, I feel compelled to come up w/ answer or solution.

I won't tell anyone my favorite. I'll let the group decide if they want a name change at all.

Can I fit in this group if I tell you that my son(s) will likely end up in marching band? They love music. They've taking piano since they were 5 & now the oldest has been in the school band for 2 years. He was just invited to move up to bass clarinet by the band director. He's very excited.
