no more breakfast at Ariel's

Now I am sad. I just called Disney Dining to find out price for breakfast at Ariel's Grotto for our dates in April (I know--too early to book), but the rep on phone said they will no longer be serving breakfast there then. She said price for adults for lunch and dinner is $39.64 (including tax and tip). I really wanted breakfast b/c it would have been cheaper, and I have not seen good reviews on here for lunch and dinner. But how does it work exactly--she said it would be 3 courses, an appetizer, entree, and dessert? Do you get to pick what you want to eat?

Ahh are you serious! :sad1: :sad2:

I was planning to have my annual princess meal for breakfast when we go in May!!! BOO!!

That's a bummer! I have a PS ressie for 9:40 am for breakfast at Ariel's on 2/12. They told me that 9:40 am is the earliest seating available for that time (which surprised me), but never mentioned anything about eventually canceling the breakfast altogether. I wonder why they have decided to do away with it? :confused3

That's so sad! Maybe I should call and ask.. I noticed different CM's say different things at Disney Dining.. You would think when DangerMouse called and made ressies they would have told her.. :confused3

I am interested also in finding out why. I was looking into also doing the breakfast along with the lunch in October.

You get to pick from a list of a few appetizers, about 5 or 6 entrees, and 3 desserts or so. The current menu is at all ears, I think.:cheer2:

DARN IT ! I was also planning this for breakfast in May !

ME TOO! We had our lunch there last trip, and the food wasn't the greatest. I heard the breakfast was much better and wanted to give it a try! I would like to know why too

We had the breakfast, and my girls loved it (we did the lunch too, and the interaction was not nearly as good) that is too bad. Maybe they were not making as much money. the place was only about 1/3 full when we went to breakfast, and packed at lunch. It really is sad, because we felt that the breakfast had better food too. My daughter was looking forward to going for her 5th birthday in April. She will be sad.:sad2:

AHH somebody please tell us why!! I'm dying here!! :sad1:

Ariel's breakfast was only a trial run that started in October and was supposed to end in January - so for those that have PS's in February, you are lucky. If it was popular enough, they'll extend it and/or bring it on permanently. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!!! :wizard:
