There are lots of restaurants in the parks, hotels and DTD. :)

At the GCH there are 3 restaurants: Napa Rose (very nice!), Storyteller's Cafe, and Whitewater Snacks (counter service.) Also, the Chip & Dale's Critter Breakfast is held at Storyteller's Cafe.

At the DLH: Steakhouse 55 (nice steak restaurant), Goofy's Kitchen (character meal/lunch and dinner), Hooke's Pointe, Crocs Bits & Bites (take-out).

At the PPH: Yamabuki (Japanese restaurant), PCH Grill. And the Lilo & Stitch breakfast is held at the PCH Grill.

Here's a list of the restaurants at Disneyland park:

You can make PSes (ADRs) 60 days in advance for the full-service restaurants at the hotels and parks by calling Disney Dining. And somewhere (I forget where at the moment) there are restaurant menus posted, so you can see what kind of food is offered at each location.

Happy planning!

Do you mean the "California Grill" (in the Contemporary)? Or a restaurant in the "Grand Floridian"? (Narcoosee?)

Might want to look at the food thread sticky (at the top of the DL page). Also peruse Allears site for menus.

Fancy Restaurants include:

Napa Rose (in the GCH).
Blue Bayou (in DL next to Pirates)
the fancy Italian joint in DCA (i like the more plebian Italian joint next door though....it's called the Trattoria or sumthin).

& several fine dining restaurants in DTD. (Which is next door to the DL & DCA front gates).

(nice to see you found a quality (inexpensive) motel closer than the Menage....I was concerned about that.)

Yeah, i was a little worried about the menage!! thanks everyone for the tips! in jan. on my wdw trip i hope to dine at the california grill. i was fortunate to go during free dining last sept., so i hit all the popular spots for our dinners. we don't like going to a big breakfast, we like getting to the parks instead. we might try the japanese restaurant at PPH. we have a lot of great restaurants at our DTD.
thanks!!

I know everyone likes the Napa Rose, but we really didn't. Was not impressed and wouldn't spend the big money there again. Whitewater Snacks is very good and La Brea Cafe in DD is also very good and not too pricey.

has anyone been to ralph brennan's creole cafe at dtd? i'm not too worried about the walk up places but would like to make ressies for a sit down place for dinner one night.

To me, it seems like all those Patina owned restuarants in DTD are either hit or miss.. We ate at Ralph Brennan's once and it was wonderful, and another time it was horrible.. (also, the girl from America's Next Top Model works there).. Same goes with Naples, we ate there and it was great! But I've heard on the boards to other people it was really bad.. So.. :confused3

But I would try it! You never know..

HTH.

Is that the name of the take-out window at Jazz Kitchen? If so, we got burgers and fries there one night on the way back to the hotel.

Nothing really special, but I do recall the burgers were rather large, could easily have split an order between our two little boys.

I think they do sell beignets and coffee in the morning, though... Might have to check that out on our next trip! :)

thanks for the info. i love poboys and such so i know i will love the french quarter section at DL. which model works there, we watch that show?

We'll be there some of the same time (6-16), and at least when I booked, we could get the Entertainment rate at the HoJo through the 13th, which would be great for you. The rate is either $59 for deluxe room or $74 for Premium Disney view (which we love!). We've stayed at HoJo many times before, and are looking forward to going back after a not nearly as wonderful stay at Best Western Park Place Inn in early Jan.

The Best Western is right next to Park Vue and right at the crosswalk. While it was great not having to walk the extra 5 minutes to the HoJo, the fact that these are MOTELS instead of HOTELS was not worth it to us. We had a room on the 1st floor and were just a few feet away from parked cars with beeping alarms that seemed to beep all night long! I definitely prefer a motel like the HoJo where we're away from the parking lot.

If you can get Ent rate at the HoJo, I definitely think that's by far your bet choice. I don't think you'd find the Park Vue any cheaper, and the quality is better at HoJo IMO.

how do i get the ent. rate? i haven't booked yet but i found a really good deal thru expedia including air. i think it said a pool view was like $108 a night but i am always looking for a deal! that's what i miss about not being an annual pass holder anymore/the discounts!!! please let me know.

okay, i just went on their website and put in the sd50 code and got the rates you were talking about. so, the disney view rooms are the best? that rate is much better than what i was getting!!!! how do you book a room, do you pay one night for a deposit? when reserving do i need to request anything else, i know we want to be away from the freeway!

Take a look at http://www.hojoanaheim.com/pdf/room_layouts.pdf which shows the room layouts and which layout is in which building. The highway runs along the right side of building 1 on the diagram at the bottom. NQQ2 would be in building 2 for $59 ent rate, and I believe all those rooms face the "quiet" pool. There may be a few on the end that face the freeway - I'm not sure.

NQQ1 is the Premium Disney view room in building 1. These would be $74, and we love staying here! These rooms are all away from the highway. The NQQ3 rooms ($59) would be the same type of room in building 1, but face the freeway, so no view. I believe some have complained of freeway noise there, so probably not the greatest location. Others have said the windows are very sound-proofed and noise was not a problem, so it's apparently a person thing.

We've stayed in the Premium Disney view room several times before, and end up watching fireworks from our balcony several times each trip. It's a great room layout. We also really like having the 2nd sink outside of the bathroom separate from the tub/toilet.

Just make a reservation online with a credit card guarantee, and there's no deposit. I believe there's a 48 hour cancellation policy.

Her name is Amanda, I think. She was one of the twins from a couple seasons ago. She didn't win, but she had a twin on the show that looked exactly like her. She was our waitress and my Mom and I were like, omg! Since we watch the show, my Dad and DBF were clueless.. She was nice though.. Idk if she still works there though.. That was about last May..
