We are leaving on Sunday to Disneyland and I've never eaten at The Vineyard Room and was wondering how it was. We have a 15 month old that would be joining us so I'm not sure if it is a good place to go.

Thanks!

Is your little one used to that kind of restaurant? Are you (or another adult) willing to leave that lovely environment with baby if baby starts to get too antsy to be there?

We took DS out to restaurants quite a bit when he was that age, but I'm not sure I would have gone to that restaurant.

However, I did eat at the Trattoria downstairs from that restaurant, and was quite happy. As were the babies all around me. :goodvibes It's all quite lovely, in that winery-type area.

Ive eaten here and absolutely love it and would have no problem eating here again...having said that, there are a couple things you need to know...this restaurant is upstairs and it is outside...there is heat lamps but they did not help...now I dont know how the weather will be this next week but this time of year I wouldnt suggest it unless its in the mid 60's or higher and you eat in the afternoon...also this is not something I think any child would like unless they prefer things like gorgonzola and red wine vinegar...its set up by courses and its kind of gourmet...maybe you could consider buying your child a burger or chicken strips and take to the restaurant to serve them while you eat there...the food is really good...I did finally warm up but only because I did the wine paring and drank alot:lmao:

heres a menu sample for you to check out:

I've eaten here and absolutely love it and would have no problem eating here again. Having said that, there are a couple of things you need to know:this restaurant is upstairs and it is outside [covered but open to the outside unless you're dining on the balcony/patio] ...there are heaters but they did not help. Now I don't know how the weather will be this next week but this time of year I wouldn't suggest it unless it's in the mid 60's or higher and you eat in the afternoon. [Open evenings only Friday - Sunday this time of year.] Also this is not something I think any child would like unless they prefer things like gorgonzola and red wine vinegar...it's set up by courses and it's kind of gourmet. Maybe you could consider buying your child a burger or chicken strips and take to the restaurant to serve them while you eat there...the food is really good. [I believe they have some simple children's selections, but we don't have children, so not completely sure about that.] I did finally warm up but only because I did the wine pairing and drank alot:lmao: [We usually plan on staying in the neighborhood when dining there as we really like the bar and wine list!]
All very true, but still one of our favorite places to dine. [Don't ask about NYE - we nearly froze - but we're usually comfortable year round, though we dress for the weather.] We've been enjoying it since the days when Mondavi ran the restaurant and have made several friends on the staff. Wine selections not as extensive as Napa Rose, but very good food and and an interesting selection of wines in addition to excellent service.

The sample menu from August is very representative.
