I have a feeling that they will keep the DEP running on weekends through April and May and then at some point in June (not sure when), will have it run daily.

There is a VIP area with some kind of dessert/dining thing. I believe it's at Wine Country Trattoria. I haven't heard great things about it though, especially since it is so super easy to get a good spot for the DEP since the parade route is so long and DCA is never that crowded.
