How are the crowds in June?

We always go in September, but this year DD starts middle school and they frown on vacation days. We are thinking of going June 1 thru 11, how are the crowds then? We went one year in July and it was packed!!! We decided then it was too hot and too crowded. I seem to remember reading the "peak" times but can't remember where.

According to the Unofficial Guide crowd calendars, early June dates rate consistent 7, 8, and 9 on a scale of 10.

If you're unfamiliar with their scale, those numbers correspond to...
7 = peak waits of 65 - 74 mins
8 = peak waits of 75 - 84 mins
9 = peak waits of 85 - 94 mins

By comparison, most of your September dates are 4's and 5's with an occasional 6.

I would like to know this as well. We will be there 6/24-7/1, due to kids' schedules. It really doesn't bother me if it's crowded, as I will be thrilled just to be there. :cool1:

It'll be a LOT more crowded than September, but a bit less crowded than July since a lot of schools up here don't get out until 6/6...it'll get more and more crowded after that date.

The end of June will be VERY crowded, but if you plan a little, you'll be fine. Get to parks at opening and take an afternoon break and then go back in the evening and you'll be okay.

An hour and a half wait???? Whoa! I'm assuming that's the most popular rides? My neighbor told me June 6-9 last year the most they waited was 40 min.

I've only been there one other time, so I can't compare it to anything, but it was in June 3 years ago. Yes, it was crowded, but we just made sure to use Fastpasses as often as possible. I'd say we probably didn't wait for anything longer than 45 minutes and that wasn't very often. If it was going to be longer, we'd grab a fastpass and come back.

We went 2 years ago June 4-11th. The wait times weren't bad. I think the most we waited was 30-40 minutes. If the wait was really long we got a fast pass and then went back later. We figured out before we went to the park what attractions we wanted to see, so we weren't just standing around going trying to figure things out.

We didn't go to the parks on the days of extra magic hours, so I think that helped with the crowds a bit, but overall the beginning of June was a great time to go.

Can it be any worst than Easter week in terms of crowds? That's when our last trip was.

When we went two years ago in June, it RAINED (not just for 30 minutes, but poured for all but one day of our trip.) I know, it rains in FL, but June is the rainy season. We contemplate going again every year, and decide against it because of the pouring, sopping mess. Maybe when the baby is 6 YO.

We have been 2 times in June, 1 in May, 1 in Sept. and 1 in Oct. I agree the crowds weren't bad in Sept., but we hated the lovebugs. My little girl (3) screamed the entire week!:lmao: I loved the first week in June and the week in May. The weather was nice and it was not too crowded. October was so hot and humid, I almost died. We were there in a freaky heat wave...we are thinking about going back the last week in May this year. We'll see how the crowds will be then...:confused3

We have gone the 1st week of June and it was not bad..yes there was a shower pretty much every day but it was bearable. The crowds were not bad because I think kids are still in school!

We are going again during this time. :woohoo:

DD & i went the first week of june last year, & encountered the quite a few rainy days also (mostly short-lived and/or light rain tho). but one day the rain was torrential & long lasting :guilty: . the kind of rain where we needed to "feel our way" (we were in WS) b/c we couldn't see, our layers of clothing were soaked (squeezed actual puddles of water out of them), DD's cel phone (in its case, in a duffle, under a sweatshirt & rainjacket) was totally water-logged.....it was like swimming through WS :scared1:
as i say when anything goes wrong, it was "an adventure!" :rolleyes1 , but we were surprised that it rained much more in june than in any of our trips in april, may, august, sept, or oct
we didn't find the crowds unbearable tho:) . we took advantage of the eve EMHs (saw figment over & over & over........lol), used FPs, hopped to a diff park or did outlet shopping if the crowds were just too much when we got there. & we checked beforehand the dates/parks for the "unofficial" gathering that norm goes that week, avoiding many crowds/lines by just going to a diff park initially :thumbsup2
all in all, i would do it again (just would bring a few raincoats, plastic bags, & umbrellas :) ) :banana:

We've done late June (around the 22nd) twice. Neither time did we feel the crowds were unbearable. We did get a great list online of what days the parks would be busiest and we went to the slower parks. Worked great for us.

we go this time most years, while very crowded (unless it's predicted to rain all day); it's manageable as long as you do EE & FP.

we take a break after lunch & come back raring to go:thumbsup2

We were there the first week of June last year and remember that one day with torrential rains. That is not normal though, it was because of a tropical depression/storm(I can't remember exactly) in the area. We had to drive through it to get to WDW.
I will say that was the best day at MK though, no crowds! Everything was a walk on.

The first part of June is better crowd wise than July. Have fun!

What site did you get the list from?
