Have anyone stayed here??? Tell me everything, it looks so beautiful on their website, is it like that? Does anyone have pics????
Thanks :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for your answer. After looking at your pics, I think we might be talking about two different hotels. Is this the Renaissance at Seaworld Resort??? (maybe I should have been more specific) The one at Seaworld is a 4* hotel and it looked a lot different on the website.

I agree with the PP - that first report does not look like the Renaissance at Sea World at all. We stayed there in October 06, when the renovations had just started. The hotel is extremely beautiful, very spacious and the lobby work looked like it was going to be gorgeous when it was finished. We had a huge room with a wonderful view of Sea World (I can't post any pics at the moment as Photobucket is under maintenance).

The shuttle service to the parks was second to none. We just booked it at the front desk, were given several choices of times and 9 out of 10 times, our family of 4 had a taxi tothe parks by ourselves, all complimentary.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat :thumbsup2 (just wish I could get a good rate on it for April  )

I would love to see some pics at some point. The hotel looks so nice on the website, but you never know! Can't you walk from the hotel to seaworld??? It looks like it's quite close.

Yes, you can walk to Sea World very easily from the hotel. It is across a busy road but there are crossings and then you just cross the Sea World parking lot and you're at the main entrance - takes about 5 minutes max.

Here are some pictures - ignore my DH and the kids in the beds (and the mess) :rotfl:

No, we just asked when we checked in if they had any rooms available on a high floor with a view of Sea World - and that is what we got :thumbsup2

I honestly can't recommend this hotel highly enough - we had a fantastic stay there and the shuttle service is, without a doubt, the best of any hotel I've stayed at :)

We are planning on staying there for one week and do Seaworld, Universal and the outlet stores and then stay at a Disney hotel for at week. I'm really looking forward to this hotel, it's so nice to have a beautiful hotel to come home in the evening. Btw how is the pool area, the gym, bar ect.??? Did you try them?

We tried the pool, which was lovely - no slides or anything but a nice big, clean pool. The kids and DH had a whale of a time while I relaxed :thumbsup2 Didn't get a look at the gym and there was a lot of the renovation work going on in the lobby so the main bar areas were closed. We went into one of the restaurants a couple of times just to get a cup of tea for DH (when the little snack bar had no caffeinated tea) and it looked (and smelled) lovely.

When are you going?

We are going in october. We went to Florida last year for the first time (that was also the states for the first time) and loved it. We stayed at Comfort Inn at International Drive, which was an ok hotel for the price but we would like a bit of luxury this time.

October is a great time of year to go - you will have a fabulous time :thumbsup2 I know what you mean about wanting a bit of luxury and you will definitely get that at the Renaissance. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your planning :)

I've stayed at the Renaissance Orlando at Sea World twice: once in 2001 and again last June for 10 days, during its renovation.

My latest room was similar to the one shown in the pictures. You have a choice of a room with an outside view or one that opens to the atrium. The room has plenty of square footage, the bed was comfortable and the room was in good condition. The dresser was not that large for a long stay. Housekeeping was good.

The restaurants are located in the atrium. The renovated lobby hosts two bars, one with a very large array of flat screens. The main restaurant has a very good breakfast buffet. There is a breakfast/coffee kiosk in the lobby as well as a more upscale restaurant (but I tried neither of them).

I did not try the gym as it was under renovation at the time. The pool was nice with a separate kids' wading pool. The pool area can get crowded if a convention is at the hotel.

The parking lot was close to the lobby and the street. Parking at the hotel was about $12 per day. It's about a 20 minute drive to the Magic Kingdom parking lot. It's an easy walk across the street to Sea World.

I recommend the Renaissance.
