What new resort would you like to see at WDW and why?

I would love to see either a pirate themed resort, an italian/roman themed resort and just a resort with everything Disney themed with the princesses, Tinkerbelle, Mickey, Minnie, etc.

I also always thought a full-out Mickey's Dude Ranch would be fun and I think that horsback riding would be something new for WDW.

ToT Hotel, now that would be cool. Maybe have a second wing themed as Haunted Mansion.

Isn't Caribbean Beach's new pool remodel going to have more of a pirate theme (a rumor I heard)?

Marriott Vacation Club at Horizons Orlando resort has (2) pirate themed zero entry pools with slides. Even the "do not disturb" sign in the rooms have a pirate theme.

I don't really care about the theme, but I've always said I wish they'd build an intimate all suite boutique style hotel with five star service and amenities, and limited access.

Considering that WDW wants guests to visit their Resorts I don't see them building a Resort with limited access to those not staying there.

If they could generate enough money from the guests who stay there, and that was one of the features those guests wanted to have, sure they would.

I think one similar to prime time cafe...people in poodle skirts...the place would be set up in little neighborhoods, complete with the communal playground down the street. a design similar to how it looked in the movie "edward scissorhands"

just an old time classic look.

Maybe they could include one neighborhood with your haunted hotel..every neighborhood has the one house everyone is worried about and is creepy

I like the Pirate theme, I was heavily influenced in this decision by my DS who is 3 1/2. Although the haunted theme another poster suggested sounds great too. However, my real wish is for Disney to build the Asian themed resort which they had planned for early on, but never built. I love asian culture and I believe it would be an interesting and beautiful hotel.

WDW just added horse back riding this year to the things you can do. You can visit the stable they keep the official MK horses at and schedule a horse back riding tour lead by two CM's and they also have Pony rides for the kids

I voted magical because you can incorporate a lot into that theme.

Although, I too would LOVE to see an Asian themed resort.

I voted Magical / Medieval themed because it is different, but ties in with Disney. It would appeal to both boys and girls

I would love to see a hotel themed after Shipwreck Cove (pirate themed!) or a Beastly Kingdom hotel!

I would love to see:

1) Atlantis or such. Aquariums, waterfalls. Anything to satisfy the Pisces in me
2) Greek Islands
3) Something straight out of Scandanavia.

As far as the value resorts go, I think they could definately use the princess/pirate(haunted)/magic etc. themes some previous posters suggested. They could make it all work by making a new complex with three resorts, kind of like the all stars.

For a mod, I like the idea of a california surf theme. I know they've done something similar in DL, but I still think it would be neat.

For a hafh, I think a Greek theme would be neat idea. They could style it after the villas in Mykonos and have one of those real rowdy restaurants where they throw the plates on the floor. I'd also suggest an Italian theme, but that might be copying Universal.

For a new deluxe, I'd love to see an asian theme, as someone else already said. I believe they were originally planning one, but had to back out because the location was too swampy or something. Another theme that would be cool is a Chesapeake Bay theme, but that may be too similar to the Y&BC. That would also be a nice mod theme, I really think they don't have enough mods.

I voted for the Roman theme only because, well for one, I'm Italian lol but also because it's something DIFFERENT. Pirates and Princesses get enough attention although I think having one (or both) of those resorts would help to un-crowd the All Stars.

A Haunted Hotel would be cool but I'd be afraid of not getting any sleep due to "hinges creaking in doorless chambers" and "candle light flickering where the air is deathly still..."
