I just found this forum, and I am addicted. DH is going to yell at me for spending so much time on here!!:scared1:

Welcome to the DIS, Leslie!

Unfortunately, unless you're staying Lodge Concierge (a bookable category that puts you in the Sugar Loaf lodge building), the rooms that you're referring to must be booked - they are not by request.

The rooms are called Lodge Tower Rooms, and most, if not all, of the outer lodge buildings have them. However, if you're staying in Sugar Loaf, they are by request there (but you would have had to book lodge concierge).

I hope that all makes sense!

The GF FAQ thread will answer a lot of your questions as you prepare for your trip. You can find it here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1629507

I'm sorry if maybe this post should be on GF thread but I saw OP's question and thought I'd ask here. I have read the GF question thread but didn't see this question answered specifically.

So if you've booked a lodge concierge room you'll definitely end up in SL bldg? And are all the rooms in SL the same rate? What options do you have in SL as far as view/ room configuration?

Thanks for all or any help:thumbsup2

Lodge concierge is in Sugar Loaf. If you book Lodge concierge you will be in the Sugar Loaf building. There are lodge tower rooms in SL which are request only. They are the same rate as the standard SL rooms. There are standard rooms, these 3 (I think 3) lodge tower rooms, and some suites in SL. SL faces the courtyard on one side and the marina on the other.

Enjoy,

Do the Tower Lodge rooms have King beds? It's just gonna be DH and I for our 25th anniversary so I'd like to get a King bed room if that is possible ( I know that anything is possible with room assignments but have never been lucky in this respect).

Also, where is the best place to request...CRO(I'm thinking this is a no), GF itself or the IPO office???

Lives 4 Disney....thanks for your help and also thanks for all the great input you give on the FAQ GF thread. You always give great advice and post wonderful pics.:)

Hi, thanks for the sweet words.:) If you are staying concierge DEFINITELY email IPO and request the king bed. I am not sure about how many king rooms are in SL. I believe - am almost positive -that all the tower rooms have 2 queens. There are honeymoon rooms in RPC in the main building that will guarantee you a king bed....it will cost ya more though.

I have made a few room requests over the years with CRO and they don't ever happen. I really don't even think anybody pays attention to room requests made thru CRO or CRO doesn't type them in. I usually wind up changing my room assignment at check in.

Hope you have a great time.
