Beds in a Beachclub / Boardwalk studio?

We're thinking about trying out the BC or BW. Two adults and two kids, age 9 and 7. A Studio would fit into the budget a lot easier than a 1-bedroom.

Officially, Disney says a Studio sleeps four with a Queen bed and a pullout. Is that realistic? How comfortable is the pullout for two? Our kids tend to be restless sleepers and toss & turn a lot.

It's a double pull-out, not a queen in the studios, so they're going to be sleeping in close proximaty. I do'nt know if they've replaced the sleepers in the studios yet, DS slept on one of the new ones in the 1BR at the BWV last fall and said it was very comfortable.

DH & I stayed at BWV studio in Nov.

The pull out is a double, not bad but you may want to take the double and give larger bed to kids. If the fold out is open, there is no room left at all, you cannot even get to the balcony.

I thought it was a very small room and wondered how 4 people would be able to stand it.... The closet was small, narrow hanging space, floor space taken by vacuum, etc. No space for storing luggage.

Also only 4 drawers.

Small TV and the room needed to be renovated.

Have you considered WL?

Thanks for the info. Are the WL studios and beds larger?
Our kids love swimming, so the big reason for considering the BeachClub first is, of course, the pool. We've only taken the kids to DW once in 2005, and the only time they spent in the room was when they were sleeping. So the room size is probably not as important to us, but the sleeping arrangements/comfort are important.

Whether you are looking at a Studio or a 1BR they both have the same sleeping arrangements. 1 bed and 1 sleeper sofa. The only difference (I thinnk) is the Studio has a Queen Bed and a Double sofa and the 1BR has a King bed and a Queen sofa. We are DVC members so we are usually staying in a Studio or 1BR but our kids are still young enough to share the sleeper sofa without any problems. The 1BR will just give you more room to bring a blowup bed for one of them instead. Good Luck.

The square footage of a DVC studio is about the same as a standard room in one of the deluxe resorts at WDW.

At this time, all of the sleeper sofas have been replaced with the newer style sleeper sofas (no more metal bars, so much more comfortable) in all the DVC resorts except VWL.

Here are the approx. room sizes of the studios in the DVC resorts.

OKW: 395 sqft (2 queen beds, no sleeper sofa)
BCV: 365 sqft
VWL: 356 sqft
BWV: 359 sqft
SSR: 355 sqft
ACV: Jambo House (main lodge) value: 316 sqft, standard:365 sqft
ACV: Kadani village (new addition under construction): 366 sqft

We've stayed twice in the BWV studios. Even with the sleeper sofa pulled out, we were able to get to the balcony. The sleeper was new and very comfie. My kids were smaller, but had plenty of room. A double is fine for most kids.

I found the rooms to be quite large. According to UG, the BWV studios are some of the largest rooms on Disney property.

It's a great resort.

We stayed in a BWV studio that had a sofa bed and a daybed. My son, then 11, slept fine on the daybed.
