Is there a resort pic that shows which rooms are King size? DS7 likes to sleep with us when we're on vacation (I don't mind...it won't be too long before it won't be cool to do that!) We'd like Lake View and DS is leaning towards the bowling pin section.

They will not put more than 2 guest over 3yrs in a king room. Well they won't let you book room at the moderates were king rooms are booked as a category so I don't think they would honor that request.

Try willcad.org for a resort map that lists which rooms are king.

50's is a great section!

They will not allow more than two people in a king room at Pop. When my son was small we tried to get a king and that's what we were told. DS just slept in the double alone. You could always have one of you sleep with DS and one of you get the other double to themsleves.

I think a lot of places won't allow more than 2 people in a king room, but it's easier for a desk clerk to overlook a child in other hotels.

I'm not looking forward to the doubles at Pop next week. It's actually my biggest concern about staying there! We will probably end up mom/DD in one bed and dad/DS in the other. Although DH gets the better end of that deal because DS is a sound sleeper and DD is restless and usually ends up sideways. :(

I am going to POP and WDW for the first time Jan 24-Feb 2. We would like to be able to have milk in our room (for breakfast and my DD has to have some before bed) and since we will be without a car, does anyone know if they sell a half gallon or gallon milk somewhere on the property? about how much is it? I would hate to have to buy the little pint size ones at the food court the whole time. We thought about bringing soy milk or boxed milk with us, but are not sure how it would do in our suitcases....

I was just there last week. They have 1/2 gallons there. They're still $2.99 :thumbsup2

And I saw chocolate chip pancakes. Same place they sell the Pop waffles & kids mickey waffles.

With January so close I am anxious to know hoe the new DDP is at Pop? Specially thesnack credits. So can anyone going in Jan post as soon as they get back I am going in Feb and will do so then!!

Hello! Me and my family will be staying at POP during Feb, we'll arrive on Feb 1st and depart on Feb 7. I'm curious about what type of crowd levels we should expect at the resort? Thanks! :goodvibes

All the rooms are non-smoking, so no need to request non-smoking. I was told this when I called a couple weeks ahead of my trip in Nov to ask the same question.

You could be in different buildings, It all depends which building you get. I believe there are some buildings that have both preferred and standard rooms in them. You might be able to ask to have rooms located in the same building when you check in.

Hey everyone - my husband and I will be staying at Pop for 2 nights, January 22nd & 23rd when we drive our daughter and her car down for the College Program.

Since we won't be doing any parks on this quickie trip, how are the buses to Downtown Disney from Pop? That's where we'll likely spend our time.:)

Absolutely! There's a bus that will go to DD directly from the Pop! Have a great time!

As the previous poster said, all the rooms are non-smoking.

As far as being in the same building, it should be pretty slow that week. Ask when you check in and the CM's usually try to help out. When we stayed in August, the back of 60's lakeside isn't preferred even though the rest of the building is. It was quiet and still a very short walk to everything. The nicest part was that all the big water birds would be sitting on the lawn outside the room when we came back in the afternoons.

Have a great trip. We won't be going back until July/August 2009 :sad2:

We'll be there the same dates. Maybe we'll bump into each other. :)

I will be calling to make reservations soon and was wondering if anyone has had problems getting rooms here?

It will be end of Jan and there will be 2 adults and 4 children. I have 2 under 2 but the lady I talked to at WDW told me I could get a room with double beds no problem. Has anyone else had problems getting a room based on smaller children?

Did you talk to Disney itself? Not sure what they will do. It's supposed to be 4 in a room, 5 MAX with a crib. But I don't see where you would even put the 6th person (4th child). There isn't enough room for two pack and plays. Last I knew they were pretty strict on that part (fire codes ). Plus you will be very cramped with 6, even if they are little, all in one room.
If you are going THIS Jan, you may be too late. I assume this is the slower time so you most likely will get a room, but most people book MONTHS to a year or more ahead of time. So you may not get your first choice in rooms. I would get right on it. I was lucky last year and booked about 45 days before our trip, but depending whats going on at Disney, they can be booked up.

When I called about 2 weeks ago to order the planning DVD, I talked to someone there and she she I wouldn't have any problem getting a room for the end of Jan if I called back after I got the dvd.. I'm still waiting on that dvd.

I also told her my situation about space. The baby sleeps with us, so we would only need one pack n play or crib anyways. She said that would be fine, because I told her I put in 4 children and the only ones would come up is the very expensive ones, we can not afford right now.
