We arrived at CSR on around 9:15 PM on 10/19. We had 0 minute wait to check-in
The CM saw that I was there for a conference gave me a conference packet. We are very conversational individuals and we started yapping away with her. While the CM was looking for a room for us I mentioned DS would be celebrating his birthday and I asked her if he could get a special wake up call. She said I'll do a wake up call and do an extra special thing, but you won't see it until tomorrow. We were like great!!! (but she wouldn't tell us what though).
She gave us Casitas 2b and gave a welcome packet along with instructions on how to get to our room. And off we went to follow the "brick" road to our new home for 6 days.
(This pic is from the day after we checked in...DS took his MickeyMouse and Goosh Stuffed toys and MouseKeeping would always arrange them differently each day)
After leaving our items in the room we headed to the PepperMarket to have dinner. PM was great, DH got the concept real quick. I grabbed a sandwich, DH a quesadilla platter and DS a HotDog kids meal. After dinner we went to look around at Panchitos. DS ran for a stuffed animal and at the end basically wanted one of each We had to tell him that we had to wait since Mickey Mouse would probably give him something.
On Saturday afternoon we headed back to the hotel for a nap and as soon as DS went sleep, I decorated our resort window and started preparing his gift basket (had pre-shipped items earlier in the week)
After his nap, we got ready and I sent DH to the bus stop before me so I could decorate the table in our room. I had ordered a cake previously in the week and asked to have it delivered to the room in the evening. When we got back to the room around midnight we found a birthday cake and a birthday greeting from Mickey Mouse along with some balloons (greeting card with balloons was CM from check-in extra special thing )
DH said he would definitely stay at CSR again. He said that during the day there wasn't lots of people around the resort, compared to what he would see in the evenings. Our conference catered breakfast and lunch for us so not many of us running around loose.
I didn't get to take lots of pics since I was "working" here are just a few pics that I took.
This is where Francisco's Lounge used to be. It's still under construction. The new date for opening is 10/28
Laguna Bar by the lake
We give CSR a 10+!!
I'm keeping my fingers cross that we get to go again next year
