We have been on the Christmas Cruises :santa: before and they are the best!!

We are going to do the Easter in 08 cruise. Is there anything we should look forward to on the cruise?

Who else is going??

We were on WC this year for Easter. We spent Easter Sunday in Key West. They had some holiday decorations in Topsiders at breakfast (I am sure they were there all day). I looked up the navigator
8:00 Easter Mass Buena Vista Theater
9-10:30 Easter Festivities in the Lobby Atrium
9:30-10:30 Easter Crafts in Animator's Palete

We had our boat drill scheduled for 10:45 am this day also. Our ship was delayed at port for about 5 hours.

1:15-1:45 Easter Egg scavenger hunt Oceaneer Lab 8-9, 10-12 yrs
3-4 Easter Eggstravaganza in Oceaneer Club 3-4, 5-7 yrs
3:30-5 Easter Animation Cells and Craft time 8-9,10-12 yrs
2-3 Easter Craft Time for Teens @ The Stack
4:30-5:30 Easter Scavenger Hunt meet @ The Stack for teens

I don't remember the characters being dressed for the occassion. But my DS is older (18) so I didn't specifically look. We brought some easter decorations to hang on our door that day. I also brought a couple bags of Easter candy for our stateroom host.

Hope that helps.:)

I had another quick question PBader, was everything open in Key West on Easter? :confused3 That was my only concern. Thanks so much!

Yes, everything was open in Key West. I didn't notice any of the shops being closed. I think that when the cruise ships are in a port, it is a big deal for them. They like us to spend money.

Enjoy your cruise, the weather was beautiful for us. If you have any other ? I'll try to answer them for you.:)

We will be on the Easter (spring break) Western this year (2008) and have a DS who will be close to 17 - did your son still enjoy it? We're slightly concerned that that age may be an awkward one for the teens - too much Disney, not enough 'cool' stuff. Just curious. Thanks

We brought my nephew(20) with us, so that Adam would have someone to hang out with. Being that he was 18 he was able to go into the clubs in the evening (he really enjoyed that!) There were quite a few older teens on board. I am sure your your son will have a great time. Adam never has been much for going to the teen activities and he still really enjoys the cruises we have been on. I have no idea how active your thread is for your cruise (ours wasn't at all--I think part of it was how expensive the Easter cruise was). Hopefully there may be some teens your son's age and they could communicate before the cruise by email.:)

Thanks - that's helpful. The thread for this year's cruise doesn't seem to be too active yet, either, but I DO think that my son - and daughter who will be 13 - will both be open to going to the teen club. They've both actually done it before, but we were also sailing with another family both times.

One pointer that I did pick-up from these boards somewhere was that it was beneficial for the kids to go to the clubs the first evening for, in lack of a better term, the 'meet & greet'! In fact, I would guess there's a better chance of them doing that than getting on these boards, but who knows?

Thanks again
