I would Love to see your pictures of that room. Our IPO said that we might be on another floor, so we'll see. I would rather have the space than the view, but we didn't find availability. Maybe someone will cancel:goodvibes

Hi! Here are some of my pics of this room.. i might have more on my other computer, but here are some for now..

Thanks so much for this great thread! I have a question...does anyone know just how many standard rooms do not have a daybed? We're a family of 4 who really needs a daybed because of the ages and sexes of our children. I will of course request one, but if it is not granted, it will really make our vacation a bit stressed, which no one wants to be on vacation! There is availability when we are thinking of going (Christmas week 07!!, I know we're crazy), but I'm afraid it will be so packed that requests will not be met because we're not a family of 5. What do you think the chances are of scoring a standard room with daybed? Do most rooms have them anyway? Is there a configuration of the number of different room types somewhere on the net? Thanks!

Hi all

just bumping this question up as I would love to know the answer as well. DS is 14 and DD 11 so no sharing a bed there!!!!

Julie

Have not stayed at BC but will be returning to YC for our third visit in January. We love YC, it's peaceful, full balconies, nautical theme, we have also always had rooms with daybeds.

Thanks for the info. We would definitely need the daybed.

We stayed in room 4545 at the BC it had a great Water View but NO day bed.

I was also curious if anyone had any pictures of the BCVillas. I heard they got new carpeting in the hall ways and new sofa beds..any one have any pics or thoughts thanks

Thank You for the pictures. Hopefully, we'll get the daybed as I requested. If not, I'll be sleeping with my DD and DH will be sleeping with DS. Either way, we'll be at Disney!:cool1:

Just wanted to thank everyone for such great info and pictures.

I just emailed IPO as my trip is now less that 2 months away, and I was wondering if anyone knew how long I can expect it to take before someone gets back to me?

I still haven't had much luck finding more that a couple of pictures of the Jr. Suite at the YC - but I promise to bring some back with me!;)

None of the deluxe rooms at BC are on the concierge floor. There are only 4 of them. If you are facing the quiet pool they are all on the left corner. To get to concierge you would have to walk to the main elevator to get to the 5th floor.

Well, I guess I won't get one if there are only 4.I'm just really hoping to get a daybed, anywhere would be good. I guess some of the standard size rooms have daybeds? That is the only thing I don't like about the BC. You're not sure if you going to get the daybed, and you're not sure if you'll get a full balcony. Just keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes, lots of the regular rooms have daybeds. :)
As for the deluxe rooms, yes, there are only a few.. We have already booked ours for November 2008... if that tells you anything! LOL

What seems like ages ago;) I was planning our first trip. I had decided against BC because of the balcony dilema and went with YC. It turned our YC wasn't our cup of tea & we ended up switching to BC. Our room had the long but narrow balcony. In the end it really didn't matter as much as I thought it would.

If it is very important to you, I would only put on your ressie the request for a daybed & hope for the full balcony.:wizard:

What a great thread with pics and all! We just booked a deluxe concierge BC room for April/May 2008 :yay: and needless to say we're all SO PSYCHED! I should preface this by saying we've never been before -- anyhow, I loved your pics of the room. My kids are going to die tomorrow when they see the pics of the pool on this thread...But, after reading yours and then other posts I had questions -- is that deluxe room you had on the 5th floor? (the Disney people told me the concierge rooms arent bigger than standard, but my AAA reservation says "deluxe concierge room" and Im hoping its the size you show -- Im worried how four kids & my husband and I are all going to fit comfortably...) and by chance do you have any pics of the balcony view?

Thanks in advance! :dancer:

hi there! No, i believe as another poster said, the deluxe rooms are on the 4th floor, but you still have access via your room key to the elevator and the 5th floor Concierge lounge. It's really no biggie.. you can go up whenever you want. The larger rooms are nice!! As i said we had a view of the quiet pool - i don't have any pics on this computer of the view, but i will try to post some from my other computer in the a.m. for you.. I do remember that we could see Epcot's fireworks quite nicely. :cloud9: The only problem i had one night was a group of "roudy" late teens/twenty year olds (about 4-5 of them) in the quiet pool one night at about midnight, and i was sleeping on the daybed - i was just getting over a bad neck problem and trying to rest (as it was midnight.. LOL) But, that's another story...
Other than that, the room was AWESOME.. i was soooo nice to have all that extra space to spread out! There were 5 of us - me, dd, dh, and my inlaws in the room (and that's the same way it will be next year, we have that room booked again, and my sis in law is in one of the other deluxe concierge rooms). :) You guys will have a blast.
Even in the regular rooms, you can fit 5 very easily. We have done that route too - twice.

The four deluxe concierge rooms are on the corner of the quiet pool so there is one on each floor except the 5th because there isn't a fifth floor on that side of BC. Only floors 2 & 4 have a full balcony. They would all have view of Crescent Lake & the quiet pool.

Hi to all! We just booked a deluxe conceirge room for the week after next Thanksgiving! My parents are moving to fla. from Long island in Jan. and we are going to have Thanksgiving with them and then head over to WDW for a week!! I have never stayed at the BC;but the pool there, I'm sure will have us hooked! My DH loves the LVC @ the Poly so I'm hoping that club level at the BC and a deluxe room will make him happy! Any info or tips from all of you BC experts would be great! Thanks in advance! Angel

Just wanted to report that my boys and I (DH is on another trip) just got an email from the BC bumping us up from a regular standard room to the BC Newport Presidentail suite! I am freaking out! We are only staying one night so I'm sure that has something to do with it, but still!!!!

Do you want me to do pictures????

Checking in there in 5 days!

If you could only see my excitement for you! Here ... maybe this will help.

Yes ... please take as many pictures possible of the Suite! That would be a great addition for bytheblood to add to this thread. Have a wonderful time and enjoy!

I would try my hardest to extend my stay :goodvibes

My dh and I went on an overnight trip to WDW. We took a bus to the BC and walked to Epcot. It was much easier than I expected. We will be staying at the BC in December. My question is, it was so easy to get to Epcot but we couldn't figure out how to get to MGM. Do you go out the lobby and turn left like Epcot or is it going another direction altogether? I saw a bridge on the right hand side of the path before we got to Epcot. Is that the way?
